  1. 1. When the 3 3/4 Marvel figs come out, will you support this line or pass?

    • Ignore them! I'm not starting another scale, couldn't care less, big PASS.

    • I'm dumping my 6inch figs and getting these instead. They take less space and its my favorite scale!

No news on the 3 3/4" Marvel line but plenty for DC's line at Toy Fair. That being the case, whenever the Marvel figs do finally make an appearance what will you do?

Regarding articulation, are you expecting the same amount of POA as Legends figures or are you hoping for more GI Joe style articulation?

I've been waiting a long time for a 3 3/4" Marvel line.I want an army of Hydra troopers! The Showdown figures were hit & miss. Plus that god aweful game they added.

G.I. Joe 25th style articulation is very good. We saw how a Legends style articulation did with Showdown. As long as it doesn't make them more fragile more POA the better.

Playsets would be great! How about a Castle Doom? Fantastic-Car etc...

I happen to like both scales. I will always love my Marvel Legends Scale, but I have also been collecting GIJOE 3 3/4 figures since I was a kid. Now with the GIJOE 25th Ann figs, I am hooked on those again! I don't see why people can't just like both scales.

I see it this way:

The 3 3/4 lines gives us a chance to see more complete sets of characters that probably would not sell well in the 6" line. Just think, we could have an entire JIm LEE era X-universe with the 3 3/4 line.

The 6" scale would probably be for the A and B listers and fan favorites.

I'll be all over these IF the articulation is up to code. There's no reason why it shouldn't be, as Hasbro has years of experience in this scale. Even if the articulation isn't a ToyBiz ML styled scaled down to 1:18, which I doubt it will be, the 25th G.I. Joe style would still work well.

I was a little disappointed with Mattel's 1:18th line, although there's still hopes that what we've seen were just early prototypes. Some figures had a fair amount of articulation, some had absolutely none. I'm hoping they don't end up like the JLU 3-packs from a couple years ago, where one figure gets articulated and the other two are mini statues. Either way, worse comes to worse, they'll provide me with some heads to pop on the 1:18 Marvel figures. So...score!

And yeah, 3 3/4" figures are the way to go. It makes collecting so much easier not having giant 6-8" hulking pieces of plastic everywhere, and it really helps out with vehicles, playsets and dios.

Alot more 1 /18 scale figures would be cool to have.... especially if they are alot better then the Showdown figures.... you can put them beside the ML Goliath and /or Giantman , and they would look cool. ....

Exactly! I mean, we already have a [surprisingly] good quality TB Showdown Silver Surfer, but a Hasbro 1:18th Surfer next to the TB Galactus BAF? Just awesome.

why?

if we already have the Silver surfer, but im all for 3 and 3/4 inch figures, good with G.I Joe cobra roopers, and starwars figures.but i do prefer 6 inch, hey what if the release like 12 inch- 14 inch figures like galactis and sentiel and giantman in the same line as these small ones. like galactis iin heroclix?

or the can have BAF parts?

I think I'd pass on them, collection the same characters I already have but in smaller scale doesn't really appeal to me.

I voted I'm dumping the 6" scale and collecting the 1:18/3¾" scale. However, I still pick up the 6"s I really want. 1:18/3¾" scale has always been my preferred choice. With it you get playsets, vehicles and you save room for storage and display. Plus, they're cheaper. I really hope they have more frequent releases and have a wider selection.

when have these been confirmed? i don't think they are true. i mean hasbro aren't that stu...... okay maybe the they are.

No they aren't stupid. They are smart. They will continue to sell 6 inch stuff to you. Plus they open up a new market.

does anyone know if they put these out in the toyfare 2008 yet? pls post pics. also, how would you think they would do scales of bigger characters? since they are 3 3/4, will juggernaut (tall) be the same height as wolverine (small)?

I am guessing they will be holding these back a bit to show at SDCC instead.

If my wife can be happy with 3 3/4 inches, then so can I. As long as Rhino gets represented, I'm in...

I was waiting for that humor to come out, though that you took that form - cheers, mate! er... condolences... ;)

I'd get the ones of the characters i like most if they are done well(Wolverine, Cap, Iron Man etc) to go up against the BAFs i already have hehe, 3 3/4 would just so much better against Galactus and the other underscaled large BAFs.

Imagine a 3 3/4 Iron Man against the Foom BAF*droooooooooooool*
