Yeah, I already spent 2k today on vintage Joes... So, quite excited to see I'll only be spending about 1k on the modern stuff!

We've seen pictures of all of these...

Taking the BAF idea, it appears we can build ourselves a Mass Device buy purchasing all five of these bad boys.

 

Single Packs, 7 Waves, 40 figures...

• Wave 3 '08 = 5 Figures
  
• Wave 4 '08 = 8 Figures
  

That's 21 figures so far, and we haven't seen Wave 5 '08 or later yet.

So am I the only one who's feeling like I'm standing at ground zero of an 80s nostalgia attack here? Normally, I absolutely abhor reissues...but for some odd reason, seeing these vehicles not simply reissued, but the original designs subltly improved upon has actually made me see Hasbro in a completely new light. Hasbro's Joe team has started getting back to its RAH roots and bringing back the stuff the franchise has so sorely missed over the past decade and a half. I actually caught myself sitting here at the computer giggling like a giddy 10 year old.

i really want to see what and who the movie and serpentor packs have in them

 

in the serpentor pack it was stated there will be a classic version of serpy. i hope there is a slaughter figure along with a sarcophogas and a DNA collector. or else the medical bay where they make serpentor. what other figures would be good for this pack? dr mindbender? i'd rather have him carded.

 

the movie pack? i have already stated my love for all things cobra la so golobulus(a must!!!) and pythona(never made and another must!!) along with a royal guard. maybe a BET(not the tv channel ha) pack in? but that would be too big. slaughter's renegades would be a good inclusion as well. if the two pack of falcon and nemesis enforcer is true(oh please) then those two are not needed.

 

maybe a duke with bleeding and falling into a coma action could be included haha or a mutated CC since they love making him.

 

 

i do like the idea that they have peppered the normal line with figures that compliment these packs like the CC with MASS device crystals. i just hope you dont HAVE to buy him to get that damn crystal

i really think this is the best idea they have had in years especially with adding the dvds. this gets kids into the joe brand as well. i am surprised by the inclusion of the dvds since they could sell them by themselves. but like i said it is smart since the movie is still a year and change away and there is no other media tie in for joe except the soon to be defunct comic from DDP and the comic packs.

 

makes me wonder who still has the rights to the old toon and if they will release all of the 2nd season at some point
