TF animated - lets do horrible things to female bots

I thought it was interesting that in the second episode they had Arcee damaged and her leg missing THEN later in the episode totally wiped away her memory.

 

Then today Optimus leaves Elita-1 to die only to have her become Blackaracnia and thought of as a freak by the other TF so she joins the Decepticons.

 

I wonder if they will introduce any other girls do do bad things to.

Na they dont get scared. They like it. Thye cant wait for the toys. Im gonna get them all for me AND them. With Prime and Megatron not being $40 it wont be too bad.

i thought this was a great episode. it was a good way to explain her beast mode

 

funny thing is that you see the helmet blackaracnia wears on the cave floor while optimus elita 1 and sentinel are looking around.

 

 

elita also looked similiar to bumble bee.

 

 

 

either way it adds a layer of depth to the character. funny thing is many fans were partly correct. others along with myself surmised that rc was blackaracnia. i never added into the equation the other fembot in the TF universe. well done to the writers.

 

 

the story in this series is still WAY above par from the previous 3-4 series and more intellegently written than G1 at most times. at least there is a sense of continuity and i like that

I saw the helmet and thought it was a nice touch. My 6 year old called it as we watched. He said Blackaracnia is Elita-1 cause he saw the helmet. Very cute.

I like how they made her yellow so newbies wouldn't mistaker her for Arcee

I haven't seen it yet, but so far I've generally liked how they've done the stories so far.

 

If RID through Cybertron had the same kind of story writing behind it, they would have all been fantastic series.

 

Now we have the stories but IMO the reverse problem. The animation style isn't very impressive.

 

Now I know that people have had their issues with the animation of the other recent series, but I'm talking the overall look and feel. I just don't like all the goofy looking, mis-proportioned looks of the current show.

I hear you and its a valid point. I didnt think it would fit in the TF universe very well but its growing on me. I kinda like it. After 20 years of the same look, a small break is ok.

At least BA can actually put up a fight, unlike most fembots other than her namesake, so that was nice to see. She has a good reason to hate optimus, but I think it'd be cool if instead of a decepticon, she ends up teaming w/ lockdown.

I've been watching them all on youtube same day they air in the US, that one fanoftransformers always puts em up even after being banned lol he just makes a new account and puts em up again

 

And some people are extremely exaggerating how bad the animation style is in this series. Totally blowing it out of proportion. Like to go on a website and broadcast over and over about how you don't like something, is totally dumb and just makes you look like a fool IMO. There's a few guys like that over on tfw2005.

Watched my first episode over the weekend(thank god for Tivo). Ummm it's interesting. Fortunately the first one I watched was where Soundwave is introduced. Sounds like he should and actually kind of a bad-ass. Same goes for Megs. I am very pleased with the Decepticons so far. The Autobots? No. Why are they going to birthday parties and hitting pinatas? Not happy AT ALL. I know that they are trying to reach a different demographic, but still. I had to watch the first season of Gen 1 just to get the taste out of my mouth.

Dont worry, all the Autobots vs Decepticons will come later. I'm happy with the character development thus far. The pinatas thing only lasted like 2-3 minutes, the Autobots are still learning about Human culture so it still makes sense. So far so good in my eyes.
