I don't either, it's kind of a pet peeve of mine... which is why I plotted out here that you have ultimate cap and ultimate cap running change THEN classic cap (variant) and classic cap (variant) running change.

 

This one has always gotten under my skin because the two originals are the two incorrect ones and the two running changes that corrected the color on their costumes were produced less thus harder to get a hold of and tend to fetch a higher price. If I wasn't running the DB, I'd get rid of those incorrecties.

I have none, not because I just sold my collection, but I set a rule for myself that I wouldn't get any movie or Ultimate Universe figures.

i have all 4...the last one i got was the classic with the stripes...i got it in a trade from someone here. I dont think of them as variants...cuz they werent meant to be variants...they made a mistake on which one had the stripe at first.

I have 3 of 4, I still don't have the regular correct ultimate Captain America. I'm wary of getting him off ebay because sometimes you can't really tell in the picture which one you're bidding on.

Does it really matter? They all look like ugly versions of Cap. I have the Face Off one and I'm happy with that one.

I agree with you in this case one was suppose to be a chase but they went and mucked it all up

Here is the break down of the differences:

 

Ultimate incorrect (no feathers on mask and no gray on sides)

Ultimate correct (no feathers and gray on sides)

 

Reg - variant incorrect (feathers with gray on sides)

Reg - variant correct (feathers without gray on sides)

 

The Ultimate incorrect is by far the most common - and the only one I own.

Ha I totally agree! The face off one is the best one hands down; it's perfect! The face on all for of those looks soooo stupid!

sentry was the mustard yellow and lemon yellow thing, and falcon ahd his waists switched between the standard and variant.

I have all 4 of them with trading cards sealed MOC,

 

plus a extra ultimate capt with grey stripes without " trading card " for a 5th wheel !!!!

i've got the first cap in that pic.. no big fuzz.. i don't buy a reg fig and it's variant unless they're different characters.

I have the Ultimate Cap all Blue error and the Classic cap w/ Gray error. I sold the correct version of Cap. The only one I never got was the corrected Classic Cap

There were only two Falcons you could buy and they were both wrong with the crotch pieces swapped. To my knowledge, they never fixed him in production, right?

 

 

Sentry wasn't an error like Cap or Falcon, he just happened to be a regular and a variant who saw a running change (for both) in costume color.
