It's at the end of the interview, not really anything exciting. The girl doing the interview asks if he is doing it, she almost seems like she's laughing when she asks him the queation. Another steller moment is when he calls GIJoe a doll.

Ok I re-listened to it, just to clarifie the giggle part, She asks if he's doing GIJoe, he says "they asked me" and then it sounds like she mumbles the word "awsome" and then a few seconds later she giggles a little while taking about how her brother used to watch the cartoon. When I first heard it I thought she was laughing when she asked him if he was doing it.

It's good to know Quaid at least liked Gi Joe 12 inch as a kid!

When he was a kid they had the 12 inch Joes and so those were dolls back then. I don't think he was calling the action figures dolls or meaning it in any bad kind of way.

Oh I don't doubt that is why he called em dolls, but if he's going to start going around doing PR for this movie, someone should probablly tell em they are action figures, not dolls @loll@

I see your point that he could get some flak from calling them dolls.

 

I don't think people like me and you would mind if he called them dolls or anyone in their 30's or 40's. The only ones that would make a stink of it are teenagers and some fans in their 20's.

 

Older fans are used to it or even call the old ones dolls anyway.

 

It could be he even knoes the difference between the old bigger"dolls" and the smaller action figures. He just happened to only say anything about the dolls. We may never know unless it comes up in a an interview.

 

Now if one of the younger actors calls the action figures dolls then that might be a bigger deal.

Well it was a doll back then, even though Hasbro had put out the "action figure" term with the first '60s Joes, kids of that era knew what they were, hehehe. But it's fine.
