Not a bad choice for Hawk, I just caught him in Tough Enough the other night. @bounce@

I like this casting and I think he can pull it off, would like to see him in a war movie of some sort to get an idea of his abilities with military characters, granted as Hawk he'll probably be a desk jockey character but who knows.

Try Enemy Mine. A sci-fi flick, but one of my fav sleeper films from the 80's--Quaid is good enough in the movie.

They actually have a relatively well known actor in this movie?

I just hope it's not going to be another Street Fighter.

Guile was always percieved as the hero in Street Fighter II as he was the only "American" next to Ken, who returned from a previous Street Fighter.

Now, we all know Ryu wins, but he doesn't have a backstory that leads to a good movie plot like Guile does!

this is uplifting news to say the Least.

Dennis Quaid is a great Actor, his presence should make this unlikely to become the street fighter

type movie.

I cant see Quaid doing a Movie with gimmicky crap.

I am cool with this. I liked him in Innerspace.

That movie is older than most of the people I hang out at the con with... (Good movie though!)

Wow, I loved that movie when it came out! I guess Gary and I can count ourselves as "old men" then.

I do love Dennis Quaid.. one of my favorite actors.

some of my favorites of his:

Innerspace (I've seen it at least 20 times)

Enemy Mine - One of my childhood favorites, we wore the VHS out on this sucka, recently picked up the DVD

Everybody's All American - a great football flick

Any Given Sunday - another great football flick.. he just pulls off that tough old guy role so well.

Frequency - big time underrated, if you haven't seen it, SEE it!

The Rookie - a real feel good movie

The Day After Tomorrow

and Vantage Point looks like a winner too.. I'll see that when it comes out

My only concern with Quaid is that he is the correct age, but the other Joes will be too young.. I mean Hawk and Duke aren't that far apart are they?

I think the idea with Hawk is that he's the old General who puts the Joe team together. And once together, they report to him. The black-ops-of-black-os?

Hell, this movie would be just as good if they called it Rainbow Six (for any who have read the book).
