A couple of real oddballs in there (Covergirl and Hardball spring to mind), but aside from those two mentioned, none of the offerings really standout to being THAT farfetched compared to what we've seen and gotten.

 

I'll do what I can to check the UPC numbers, but I'm doubtful that the wave breakdowns will be this, keeping in mind that we still have single packs for Hawk, BBQ, Bazooka and others in the mix as well.

Thats true. could Bazooka, BBQ etc.... be more two packs or could some of the ones i got be two packs? like Hardball and a BAT from the special mission comics? she wasnt clear one when or how, she just gave me numbers and and the names next to them. hopefully this i true cause im loving new figs instead of repaints or versions of the same characters

Unlikely since you got a few 2 packs listed as such on there. More than likely, these could be bits of no less than 3-4 different single figure assortments (Hasbro's been fluctuating the wave numbers as of late), and the 2 packs could possibly be a single wave.

 

It is also important that we take names with a grain of salt as well. I recall that back in Sigma Six there was an Agent Panther listed which ended up Flint, so hasbro can and will tweak slots if they feel it is necessary.

Quick Kick was already confirmed by Hasbro in a Q and A.

 

To be fair, there are a LOT of characters which may never see a new version, ever for one reason or another. To Hasbro's credit, assuming this list is accurate, there are a LOT of fan favorites and even a few obscure guys there. Hasbro should be commended for their diverse selection of characters thus far in the line, we've seen figures representing almost every year of the line from 82-89.

 

And as much as you question the selection above, there are quite a few on YOUR list that I have doubts we'll ever see (Big Boa being the biggie)

i argee. hasbros trying to make everyone happy some people like myself love the joes until 1990 and a few here and there in later years. ivts very hard for any company to make everyone happy especially people whos farvorit characters are minor ie Hardball Quick kick etc.. does anyone know when and where the next Q &A is going to take place cause i want to ask if its really true if there making my fav. Sorry, I don't buy it... no offense to the original poster but I think he either got erroneous information or some wires crossed somewhere. Reasons being:

 

- A verified, confirmed Wal-Mart listing at JoeSightings here already gave the layout of what "Wave 9" is likely to be, and it doesn't fit that mold at all. Granted the Wal-Mart list hasn't been officially confirmed, but someone on HissTank.com called his Wal-Mart and verified the SKU's in the system.

 

- Hasbro stated in one of their Q & A's that Cover Girl was NOT being planned for release

 

- Scarface is appearing in a Comic Pack assortment this spring/summer, I strongly doubt they would push him back out in ANOTHER Comic Pack soon thereafter.

 

- Mangler? Not gonna happen. He's too obscure, too plain, and would not warrant his own release in a Comic Pack

 

- In that above Wal-Mart list, the Iron Grenadier is listed as coming in a Comic Pack. They wouldn't release him in a future comic pack, then single-pack him so shortly thereafter. Same with Scrap Iron.

 

- The numbers used up there seem to mesh with "Wal-Mart" retail manufacturing assortment numbers. A Hasbro employee (who supposedly supplied this list) would not have access to those numbers. Only Wal-Mart would.

 

- Your aunt lives in California? And she talked to her friend who works for Hasbro? Hasbro's based in Rhode Island...

 

Sorry, not sure where the numbers and names came from, but it just doesn't fit in my opinion. Nobody should get their hopes up too high...

none taken Justin, Thats y i asked if anyone has heard this, that i wasnt sure if this was accurate. SHE lives in Cali and works as a flight attendant, shes meet all kinds of people she didnt say the guy lives in Cali, only that she meet him on a flight, she does alot of private fights as well as celebs. anywho he might live in Ri or came to cali for vacation who knows, but i have no clue i didnt ask. thanks for clearing up some of the figs. but what about the rest? she dont know anything about gijoe to give me false info but that dont mean its acurrate either. im not sure if the numers she gave me go to that exact character either, it wasnt a defenite this is who and whos number. but like i said id buy them all except the SE and other repaints.

man i love hard ball and ill def buy them all. i know is you cant put money on what hasbros says they said no PP or TF in 08 till late and we got them. so who knows. with the dusty/ mangler comic i can see it as that was a great issue. and would be a way to give us a well named fig with a not so well know one. . now this might be exclusives too

i agree Dr Venom was NOT a turd!!! at least he wore a coat unlike Dr Mindbender, dont get me wrong i love them both but mindbender is more a turd then Venom. also Hardball is a really great figure all he needed was a darker shirt and hes perfect! he WAS the only granadier on the joe team and he has a revolving gun! how cool is that?!?
