Backstage Details On Ron Killings To WWE, His Ring Name, More!

Ron Killings has agreed to start, reports Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter. Killings has not yet signed a contract with WWE because they are waiting to make sure he passes the required physical and a drug test. Barring anything unforeseen, he will be heading to the company as KWIK Ron Killings.

The WWE creative team was not part in hiring Killings as John Laurinaitis led talks with the former TNA wrestler several weeks ago. RAW head writer, Brian Gewirtz has vocally expressed his discontent with signing Killings, as an incident occurred backstage during a pre-tape segment several years ago when he was previously employed by WWE.

Given the hostility between Gewirtz and Killings it is likely he will be placed on either SmackDown or ECW.

He will fit well on SmackDown/ECW. Honestly, I could see him blending into feuds with MVP, Elijah Burke (or possible unions with either of them). I think he is given a lot of flack because we all remember how bad K-Kwik sucked backin the day. K-Kwik was a cartoon character at best.

I don't like his KWIK gimmick name. But, I'm willing to give him the benefit of a doubt on this return to WWE.
