Custom 25th Big Lob

BIG LOB

 

Arguably my favorite character of all time because of his complete absurdness, I have made a Big Lob figure for every theme since the Joe relaunch in 01. After numerous incarnations, I think I have finally written the perfect filecard for him, and the figure and card art ain't half bad either.

 

NOTES: Brad Sanders is the voice actor who played him in G.I. Joe the movie; I imitated Hardball's secondary specialty because it seems very likely Hardball has some sort of history as Big Lob, being an African American sports themed trooper; and like Hardball, who was born in Cooperstown, NY, the home of the baseball Hall of Fame, Big Lob was born at the home of basketball greatness, Westwood, California, home of the UCLA Bruins!

very nice. The numbers on his chest are very good and clean. I still have not figured out why he was the only new recruit not to get made.

great custom! This has to be one of the worst characters ever though. I guess you can have oh so many rangers, infantry, communications guys, medics, marines, seals etc, before you have to come up with guys like this.

Yeah, I didn't really like Big Lob either (I didn't dislike him, and I think he had a level of charm -- just that it failed to really resonate with most viewers). But this custom is smooth, clean, and really well done. Score!
