bad trader/scammer Matt Mason is back

It has recently been confirmed that infamous scammer Matt Mason has once again been active on the TNI, Fwoosh, AFI, CriticalMess, and other boards, posting under the names DCSH fan and DC Superfan. He has been posting here under the name Doomsday.

 

I prefer not to publicly ‘call out’ people and I honestly don’t want to turn the trade forum into a personal grievances list, but this case is an exception. Everyone needs to be aware that he is back.

 

He has been scamming people for years and is a well-known thief in the toy community. For those who are unfamiliar with Mason from Kankakee/Bradley, IL, read all these pages:

He has been actively contributing on these boards for many months, and even completed a few successful trades to create a false sense of trust. Many of you thought you ‘knew’ him and he had become a daily contributor in these forums. It was all a ruse, and he has once again fooled the community. It’s unfortunate that he has not changed his ways, and has been silently lurking among us for months while owing thousands of dollars and countless items to many people across multiple message boards. He has never made an effort to repay or replace the items he has stolen.

 

If you have any ongoing trades, be wary. He will likely disappear and come back under a new name and start this all over again, but I at least wanted everyone to know and be aware that he is still around. It's likely he already has backup IDs in place that he has used to post with already.

I encourage anyone that was scammed to file a mail fraud report with the USPS or even contact the PD in Kankakee/Bradley IL so we can be rid of this guy for good.

Wow, this guy is Blacklash Ohio. I had a feeling it was him when he asked for money for cybrog superman. Good thing I had that gut feeling and didn't send money to him.

Wow, I picked up some SDCC figs for this guy. Luckily I waited for his check to clear before I sent anything. Damn if I had only known I could've kept the figs and scammed a scammer!
