Has Ron Killings Signed With WWE?, Samoa Joe Title Run?

As of last week, Ron Killings hasn't signed with WWE yet. He's waiting to see if AAA in Mexico offers him a comparable offer to WWE. If they don't, he's expected to sign with WWE. If he goes to AAA, they'll likely want him full-time and so he'll have to move to Mexico.

TNA Wrestling is grooming Samoa Joe for a run with the TNA World Championship. A title run for Joe has been planned for over two years but the decision has pushed back time-after-time because the company did not want to do it too soon. Everyone in TNA understands that timing is everything and feel like that Joe doesn’t have to win the next time he gets a title shot but he needs to prevail in the program in the end. Some have speculated that the time TNA may choose to give Samoa Joe the title could be against Kurt Angle at Lockdown in April.

**Killings could work in WWE, especially as a heel, if they allow him to work in the same vein as he has in the indies. I saw him once and he was really over by simply berating everyone and playing the "controversial" race card.

Of course, I also saw him ge major heat one night at an indy show by no showing and forcing the entire show to have to be rebooked on the fly, lol. He was hated that night, lol.

**Samoa Joe as TNA Champion. Wow, it's about f'ing time. Seriously, TNA's mindset that "it would be too soon" for him as champion is completely ignorant seeing as the crowd was at fever pitch for him then. From what I've seen, they are not as into Joe now as they were then. It will be interesting to see if he can regain the momentum and support as he goes for the gold or if TNA missed the opportunity with Joe the last time they teased and ultimately failed to make him champion.

well, WWE is a totally different company today than it was when K-Kwik was getting rowdy with Road Dogg. his actual style will definitley clash with any of the young talent in WWE as most of them tese days are from WWE farm teams trained specifically to work the WWE style. Killings has an extremely unique and unorthodow style that I personally can't stand. he's very charismatic, but for too clumsy in the ring, I seriously dont know how he's avoided crippling someone yet.

I can kind of see where TNA is coming from. they did an excellent job of pushing him at the beginning, taking it slow and giving him that impressive undefeated streak...then they just trashed it and had him lose to Kurt Angle. no title exchange, and it's not like Kurt needed help getting over. there was nothing on the line, just ended the streak for the sake of ending it. basically, TNA dropped the ball with Joe, realized and decided to start over and take their time again. so, really I agree with you AND them. they should have put a belt on him in that initial push, but after botching that they had to backtrack and give him a serious buildup again.

Yeah, the rebuild of Joe right now is crucial. So far, I'm not liking how things are going with this rebuilding of Samoa Joe (with the exception of the promo about Hall's no show). Joe was more impressive and more "championship worthy" with the way he beat everyone and rose through the ranks the hard way. Since then, he's lost to just about everybody of importance in TNA so him winning the strap would be just another guy winning it... and sadly, another guy who they missed the ball with because his title reign won't matter.

I agree, they totally dropped the ball and probably will never get the same heat as he could have with that first push. I still think there's a chance to turn TNA around and I believe Joe is a big piece of the puzzle.

See Rosey-err-Umaga-err-UMANGA (as Regal likes to say) doesn't impress me. Samoa Joe however, does.

Instead of TNA going down the same dangerous path that WCW did in it's final years they should have been building TNA around Joe, Styles, Daniels and the X-Division. I'm thrilled that they have plans to let Joe prevail at the end of this storyline. For a heavy guy, Joe works much better in the ring than most guys his weight class - and I've been catching a few TNA shows recently and his acting is getting better with the locker room segements.

What I'm concerned about is the "prince" AJ storyline, but I do like the Mrs. Angle-Robinson gimmick going on. These guys ooze talent, they have more talent in their pinkies than half the WWE locker room.

As much as I mark out for Sting, it's time for him to pass the torch - Joe/Daniels/Styles are the future of professional wrestling

I don't want to see Killing in WWE. He can move some things and shake his ass like a ding-a-ling somewhere else. If he does come to WWE, at least don't call him K-Kwik and for the love of God do not give him that old gimmick.

TNA does have a chance. I was watcing the Lockdown 2007 event this week from Netflix. Honestly, the event was a shining example of everything good and bad about TNA. Lethal Lockdown, the X-Division Scramble = good. Sadly, the blindfold match and the Electrified Cage match = WrestleCrap. Sorta like this past week's TNA show... in the final hour, there was good in a Triple Threat match with Christian, Joe and AJ but the continuous visits to Shark Boy's home made me yearn for Hornswoggle because at least Horny can be funny because he's a midget. Best part of TNA's hour though was Traci Brooks bouncing around. The only reason I stay interested, lol.

I don't get the comparison of Joe and Umaga at all. Other than the fact Joe and Umaga are Samoan, there is nothing in common. Umaga is a throwback to Kamala, Afa and Sika, and those "wild savage" gimmicks while Joe is just a guy who happens to be Samoan.

That said, I agree with what you said about what TNA should have been doing with regards to not taking WCW's already traveled road. "Prince" AJ just seems dumb. They could have Karen trying the whole "Mrs. Robinson-esque" idea without him needing a crown and prince name.
