Comic pack series TWO is out now

i got the drednought pack at wal-mart today in Lafayette, LA they had all of them but I just had the funds for them. I am thinking about getting the Destro pack aswell.

Perhaps this has already been mentioned further up the thread, but has anyone else noticed that lately Walmart seems to be getting both Wave 1 and 2 of the comic packs, but Target currently seems limited to just Wave 1? I've been to several Walmart and Target stores lately, and this appears to be the trend. I wonder why the distribution difference?

Both Targets here had the comic packs.I only picked up the Scarlett/Hawk and SS/SE 2 pack.Nice figures though.

Walmart is getting cases of series 2.

 

They somehow, intelligently, skipped the wave one cases.

 

 

The wave 2 cases come with an assortment of all 5 packs.

2 Dreadnoks

2 Breaker/Destro

2 Snake Eyes/Stormy

1 Scarlet/Hawk

1 Duke/CC

 

 

TRU got wave one cases... don't know about Target.

Got all of wave two comic packs and SE/SS comic pack from Walmart. Picked up Scarlett/Hawk from target. I actually like the SE from the comic pack. It reminds me of the cartoon version for some reason.

The Target in Grand Rapids have gotten the first wave and a restock but have yet to see the second wave.

Scored wave 2 tonight at Walmart! The Noks kick major ass!! And Breaker is sweet too. I am one that is surprised how much I like Destro also.

The Walmarts in my areqa have not reset thier aisles yet.I have not seen wave 2 of the GI Jope Comic packs as of yet.Were they just shoved in someone on the pegs at your Walmart?I onlt seen wave 1 of the comic packs at Target.

Which only further confuses me as to how GI Joe anything is being distributed these days, as the Walmart stores in my area are getting both Waves 1 and 2, but Target only has Wave 1. Maybe Target is seeing how Wave 1 sells before committing to distribute Wave 2?

 

Also, why is it that W2-07, W3-07 of the single-carded figures just seem to keep coming like wave after wave hitting a beach?! Not for nothing here, but there seems to be an absolutely bottomless supply of these at Target stores across America anytime of the day or night! W4-07 and W1-08...haven't seen but a few of these, but you almost can't go to a store with a toy aisle in AZ right now w/out finding W2/W3-07 en masse.

I snagged the Dreadnoks and Destro Breaker comic packs last week from Wal Mart.

I am happy now that I have the original 3 noks..

I'm in the same situation as you are. Although other people in Chicagoland seem to have already found wave 5 & cp wave 2.

I saw the Breaker/Destro and Noks comic packs today at a local Wal-Mart... in some dude's hands. Apparently the only ones left. I cried a little bit and then kicked a puppy. I got better.

Well, I finally found the wave 1 comic packs just the other day.. 10 miles away.

I saw some supreme lameness last night at Target: some jackhole had bought Wave 1 of the comic packs, taken them home, swapped out the figs and the Doc POPs, then replaced the newer figs with some crummy old VvV figs. At first, I thought they were some kind of variant, then I realized what was going on. Not that there's any shortage of Wave 1, but that is BUSH league.

 

I've seen this now and again with Star Wars figs.

 

I guess pilferring of the Doc POPs was inevitable though.

I got the Noks and Destro/Breaker pack. Meh. They are alright. I'm not as hyped now that I've taken them out of the package. I really don't like Breaker to begin with and basically spent $12 to give my Destro a shiny head without opening my SDCC PDD. The Noks were alright, but they suffer from being way too skinny. Especially Torch. And their heads seem a bit squaty and too large for their bodies. They look OK set next to Buzzer and Zartan, though. Overall, for alomst $25 for those 4, I feel a bit cheated.

You do realize you live in HI, right...? Everything costs 50% more there... You either accept it, or don't buy it until you're back on the continental US, or even better.. Ask someone to pick it up for you in the mean time?
