Full Flame Human Torch

So, is this the first wave of ML that doesn't have a variant or chase figure? I know there is a mask/unmasked version of Doom, but that's pretty lame and doens't really count in my book. Is this the same deal with the 6 inch SP3 set? Hopefully this isn't trend that Hasbro will keep up. Has anyone ever asked a rep why they are taking this approch? Just curious.

send me your torch and ill repaint him, ive been wanting to do this, but im not going to buy one (i dont collect FF)

i'm sure you'll do a good job! good thing you don't collect FF, this one wave would have been awesome, but they're almost like 5 inchers! i only have them cause they were 5 bucks each, hehe! the only good ting bout this wave was the Doctor!!

But Invisible Woman is so good. i don't understand how anyone could not like that figure. It's so much better than the cartoon faced box set Invisible Woman or the not-so-poseable-wierd faced Invisible Woman from the FF classics series 2.....

and i can understand why someone would hate the Mr Fantastic...but his face is really good!

instead of a painted Torch, i'd rather a regular faced Johnny Storm

Hasbro wave 1 didn't have any variants. It might be a trend, it might not. I think Hasbro is trying to have regular variants.

The new Invisible Woman is okay, but I really like Wieringo's art. That's why the boxset Invisible Woman is my favorite one. Plus that female mold is really good.

Actually HML 1 did have variants, just not what we're used to seeing as variants with the silver arm Hulk and package variant Iron Man.

These days I have no idea what the hell is going on with Legends. I know that a lot of new stuff has been out, but I STILL haven't seen anything past series 2 which are still pretty much everywhere you look around here.

Being in the Chicago area and searching A LOT of stores for TF's, I can get around quite a bit and NOBODY that I've seen ever gets in new Legends. That's pretty sad in such a large area. If it wasn't for reading here about some of the newer stuff then I wouldn't even know that anything beyond series 2 was even out.

if you noticed that the mold for the Icons and HML FF Human Torch are the same.

So knowing Hasbro would maximize their cost and used Pym particles to produce Flame On Human Torch probably as an Exclusive to the stores.

i don't collect the Icons line (because i barely have enough room for all my 6' figures, let alone a new line of 12') but i noticed the same thing with the Human Torch icon...and it looks better as a 12'. They seemed to make it cheaper when doing 6' AND they gave him the Dragon Ball Z hair, which i'm pretty sure the Icons version doesnt have.

Ya, the ML FF Torch is almost identical to the Icon's ver. The only difference is the head.

I hope they do this with the upcoming Icons Dark Phoenix. I would love to have that in a 6". It would also hit those ebay scalpers hard when they finally realize their ML6 Dark Phoenix will never sell for $250.00
