does anyone know whether or not marvel toys has the legal rights to make a spawn figure? it would be the best one to date, mainly because it would actually be able to move.

McFarlaine (sp?) owns the rights and he does his own toys, so I seriously doubt he would give MT a license to produce a figure. It would be cool if MT could at least do a Spawn, though.

that song brings back memories, but don't forget the 1st ones mcfarlane did did have some articulation, standard knee and elbow joints of the mid ninties, and they're pretty expensive on ebay now, but yeah that would be cool if they were able to make one

Nnnnnnnnnope. Mark Silvestri and Erik Larsen hold their respective copyrights and trademarks for Ripclaw(/Stryker etc.) and Savage Dragon(/Super Patriot etc.), McFarlane only licensed the characters to produce toys (which have clearly lasped), just as Marvel Toys has.

The Image Anniversary Spawn figure is your only source for a super-articulated Spawn figure....it's a bit big for the line too, but I think that still works just because Spawn was portrayed as looming over alot of folks from the shadows, yeah?
