the 5-inch scale figs sucked. now they're giving us an 8-inch scale fig. do these guys realize that none of that would work? why don't they just work hard on making the 6-inch scale ML line better, instead of producing new lines that nobody wants. i mean, only the packaging is nice with this 8-inch scale line. no way would i be getting them.

There were a few things that ruined the movie Spidey that kicked off this line:

- chest hinge didn't work (looks like this new figure doesn't even have one)

- figure couldn't look up or down

- ball jointed ankles made the figure hard to stand

- big stupid useless base

- high price (2 inches taller, twice the price... no thanks)

The Goblin at least has a cool base. But no, I won't be buying these.

Why does Hasbro just insist on putting out lame figures? How about that 6" movie Sandman?!? No ball jointed hips, no ankle hinge, lousy paint... horrible!

I just don't understand Hasbro. ToyBiz set a standard for Marvel Legands--great sculpts, detail, amazing articuation, soft plastics, and superb painting. Hasbro gets their hands on the line, then skimps out on the articulation, gives us rock hard plastic figures, little paint detail, and the biggest tradgity...ugly scuplts like Bucky, Emma Frost, Jean Grey, Banshee, and Ultimate Wolverine.

What's the deal?

They get the rights to make FF2 movie figures, which all sucked. I compared my ToyBiz FF movie (Alba) Invisible Girl to Hasbro's FF2 (Alba) Invisible Girl....and the Hasbro version is a joke!

And Hasbro keeps effing with the scale of the figures! Hasbro, pick a size and stick with it, no more 5 inch, no 8 inch and no 12 inch. Fans are happy with the 6 inch. ToyBiz set a standard that fans and collectors are happy with, that's why the line was so popular. Hasbro is gonna learn this--the hard way.

"Soft plastics" was a good thing?

I have to strongly disagree with you there. I just opened up a Loki on Monday, and already his leg is bending to the point where I fear placing him in a standing position. All the paint apps in the world don't matter if the damn toy falls apart.

I'd rather have the soft plastics that bend (and bend back), than the super hard platics like Hasbro's Viking Thor, which takes so much effort to move, not to mention that annoying "clicking" the joints make when you move them.

I've had plenty of experience with Toy Biz plastic that was not only soft, but didn't move with ease. This is the recipe for a figure's appendage to get broken off.
