Overall not bad, but for some reason I'm not really all that pumped about this figure.

Meh. He's decent, but we've had enough Thors for now.

Blasphemy. We can never have too many Thor figures. :)

I like him. The wait is going to kill me!

I agree, waiting for this Thor figure to hit is going to reek. I'm definitely buying one for my brother, regardless of scale because he's a Thor nut. But if this figure turns out to be close enough to ML scale, I'll be getting one for me too because I like the updated look a lot. :)

It should be close to the ML size....Have you compared that HML2 Thor to the Wal-Mart wave Thor....That guy is huge even to some of my Hulks. As far as the Hammer being to small I have like three or four Mjlionrs(I think that's spelled right)from various Thor figures I can swap out lol.Besides you know Hasbro will throw one out as well....I just don't like the way they have him standing in the pic,he looks as if he needs to urinate and is crossing his legs....Plus the cape needs to be bigger.

#US1# I think the Thor figure looks awesome. If he's the same size as the Ultimate Thor M.S. figure it will be fine and everyone who worried about it not being a Marvel Legend does it really matter. Hasbro's starting to pumpout alot of figures and they're getting better. Practice makes almost perfect and I'm glad they're making great figures and as always you can't please everyone. They can make as many Thors, Spidermen, and Hulks as they want as long as they keep throwing in the lesser known characters here and there. :P

Shouldn't Hasbro be the ones to start developing the Marvel Select figures? Unless Marvel Toys still has a license to produce for Marvel Select...

EDIT: I didn't mean develop, but produce. Forgot it said Gentle Giant sculpted it.

I like Thors new costume design, and this figure just nailed it greatly. I`ll have to get this one, while Hasbro makes one, maybe for Oct 08. But this is a great figure, nonetheless.

The figure is great and the costume is an improvement over the classic one. Probably the number one thing that keeps Thor from being cool is his dorky ass costume. I for one really like the ultimate costume because it's not dorky but its almost a little too plain. This one is decent, I like the chain mail but he still ha that dorky helmet and the cape is too super-heroy to me.

To me, the best Thor costume is the HML2 costume (but painted as it was in the prototype) Asgaurd or whatever. The wings on his helmet are metal. He has a beard which makes him look less fabio-esqe. His cape is cool with the animal pelt on it. No silly yellow booties or spandex.

If I could make the best Thor costume I'd take this costume and give him the Asguard Helmet and cape with a beard. He'd look awesome.

Looks sweet to me! I am digging the new look in the comic! I think Hasbro will get to it eventually but I will get this one anyway. I have a feeling the Ultimate Thor will come first in HML.

I wonder how much communication there is between Diamond and Hasbro (or Toybiz before them) in terms of who is producing certain figures.
