Custom v1 Legs for the Pit Vipers

I've heard the name before... is he on TNI?

I wonder if this is the same guy I ordered a bunch of cast legs and backpacks from the Yojoe boards, went by Kamakura Kustoms. Gave him over $100 for enough for six 6-packs and didn't see a damn thing. EDIT: IT'S NOT KAMAKURA KUSTOMS - the name was familiar because it's Cobra Saboteur, who is GREAT to deal with!

Hopefully he decides to mass produce these... ;)

Damn, that sucks. He use to be on Joecustoms all the time too. I'm not sure what's up with him.

lmfao...i was just about to post this thanks for saving me the hassle!!!

Those ones in the picture actually are a bit greyer than i wanted and they have some seam lines cause i didnt compress the mold...these ones are really nice though...i made them today and with a pressure pot and are a perfect black! I'll probably change the picture on the auction.

the boots on this figure were made without compression ( a bit of seam but not bad)

these legs were made with compression so there isnt much seam

Enjoy guys!!!

PS- Aly...how do you get rid of the seam??? Do you use one piece molds?

PS- Dprime---i'm not Kamakura customs...i just recently started selling cast parts cause i just picked up the equipment.

Yup, i'm not kamakura customs, DPrime can testify to that, we've dealt in the past w/no problems.

If there is interest in these i could definitely make some up. Just shoot me a pm.

Also---i revised the ebay auction to mention that the winner would get the nicely cast legs, and not the ones in the picture.

I always hated those BATS legs they went with on the '97 Vipers (and up) and I noticed they went with the original Vipers upper legs on the Pit Vipers, but still used the lower portion and the waist, and (if I understood correctly) a lot of the problems with the Pit Vipers, was the odd union of the BATS waist piece with the original Vipers upper legs? Some trimming off the very tip of the crotch piece was affective in fixing that?

I'd still love to have those original boots for them though! :)

Sab's right - he's great to deal with (that's why the name was familiar!). I just thought I'd mention Kamakura Kustoms, just in case.

Apparently, I wasn't the only one who lost out on that deal. They closed the thread on Yojoe about it, because they don't condone replacement parts, but a few others had replied about it too. I wish the guy had come clean about it - he told me he had sent them and they were "lost in the mail" but one has to come to the conclusion that he didn't send any of these in the first place...

Who knows, maybe he'll be at the convention. I'm bringing my Paypal receipt just in case.

Yeah, it was such a let down, going half-way on those... I'd be interested in a bunch (assuming I can't get them out of Kamakura Kustoms at the con, and I'm not hopeful about that)... I've got six packages of Viper Pits still in my closet...

Yep, used an envelope style mold. That second set of pics looks really nice, the color is nice and sharp and the parting seam is practically invisible. Using pressure makes all the difference.

I think he is splitting a table with Killuminati of UrbanRevCustoms at the con. Good luck and pick up some 3-3/4 gear from URC while you are at it!
