On hasbro.com, HML3 can now be bought. Also, the FF BAF Ronan series is now listed, but not for sale. The list is here:

http://www.hasbro.com/marvel/default.cfm?p...amp;viewall=yes

For some reason Hydra agent still isn't listed, but he's here:

http://www.hasbro.com/marvel/default.cfm?p...roduct_id=19260

*edit* On actually trying the "buy it" button, the site says "coming soon". So I guess the buy it button is just premature...*/edit*

Oh my god is it possible that those actually look that bad??

Wow, the FF figs now look Spidey 3 Wave bad. That's sooooooooo disappointing because I was really looking forward to them. Here's hoping they actually look better than those pics.

Note to Hasbro: Please get a better photographer. Those pics aren't going to sell your product. I want to buy your figures but you're making it so hard. :(

I was going to say the same thing. That lighting and white back ground they use takes away from details and it makes the figures look cheap. A dark blue or black background with better lighting would make the figures look better.

Like I said in the past, the prototypes didn't look impressive at all with the lack of paint wash and no amount of PhotoShop on the promotional photos could mask that. I'm sure that can be fixed by Hasbro if they put enough effort to it. I can do it on my own by doing a paint wash. Looks like I will put Reed's head on Johnny's torso to get that nice knee joint on mine when I decide to purchase. The Thing looks awesome with a nice paint wash (to emphasize the ridges and shadows) and a little brow fixin'. I want to make him more meaner and nastier!

I'm only gonna get Cyclops, Rachel, Namor and Silver Surfer.....I was planning on getting the whole Fantastic Four wave, but the more I look at them the more I dislike them.

I'm definitely getting all the FF figures. They're pretty classic versions. Invisible Woman's costume is a little weird, but she matches the others in color. So I'm down.

I've been using the Movie versions in my display, so I'm ready to have comic versions up again.

So, for the uninformed, how does one make a paint wash? I agree that the proto pics looks incredible and that the actual product pics are hiddeous. If a paint wash is something that COULD make them look better than I'm all for it. But how does one do this?

Dilute the paint color you want to brush on the figure in paint thinner in very small amounts to give it a 'cloudy' look and when satisfied with the consistency, brush on the action figure with a fine tip brush. After brushing it on, let it dry. To seal the deal , spray a coat of matte clear finish on the figure. You can find this all at a modelers shop. I sometimes use a darker shade of the base color or use a very, very dilute solution of black paint thinned to emphasize the creases and shadows on the figure. Some people use an airbrush were you can have finer control of the nozzle, I prefer dry brushing it on to give a weathered effect.

i have to say, i've been a pretty big hasbro supporter or at least taken a wait and see, give it time approach — but these really look terrible. the torso on namor looks ridiculous. b ut, my 7 yr old won't care so i'll probably get them anyway.

i was sick of hearing everyone gripe about hasbro but these are BAD.

Do you have any examples of your work that you could show us? I'd also like to apply some washes on my figures but I'd like to see how they turn out.

Icons Cyclops is up, with a "buy it" option which actually works. I don't know whether or not its a pre-order though, but he's up.

I have Cylcops already... I'm waiting for DareDevil and Pheonix. Is the Red DareDevil the variant or the Yellow one?

For the Icons line, the red version is the regular, the yellow the variant.

For the 6" line, the yellow is the regular, and the red is the variant.
