Rocksteady's Rocksteady Review.

Now Quicksliver was always one of my favorites.The sexy tight blue spandex. The cocaine white hair. Those fin things on his head. And remember if anyone tries making this a "Hasblows Sucks" thread you will be ignored. Remember guys people have opinions. That's why I make these.

 

Sculpt: He's sculpted well. He doesn't feature the same sexy texturing or detail that Marvel Toys had. But than again it looks just like how he looked in the comics. A sexy pale guy in a blue and white leotard. So it may not have detail but it is comic accurate. The head sculpt is good. Looks just like his comic counter part. The hair is sculpted very well. It's sculpted in swept back like it should be. His hands are sculpted with one in a #$#@# slp pose and the other in a semi grip pose. But it works for Quicksilver.

 

Paint: Quicksilver features ok paint. His head is cast is caucasion flesh tone. His hair and eyes though are painted very well. Very crisp and clean. No smudging or fingerprints. He doesn't suffer of cross-eyes. His body is cast in blue. I don't know what shade blue though. I'm not an expert in colors. The lightning bolts ar painted though. And like the hair and eyes it is very good. His paint may be minimal but it is very, very good. cloves and boots are molded in white and do not feature any paint apps.

 

Articulation: Hot damn! Quicksliver exceeds here but good. He features peg/swivel head. Shoulder blade move foward thing. Ball joint should. Bicep swivel. Double hinge elbow. Wrist swivel. Wrist hing. Finger hinge. Torso bend. Waist. Ball joint hips. Twist under ball joint thingy. Double hinge knees. Calf twist. Ankle hinge. Toe hinge. Great articulation. Very good. Very sexy to.

 

Accsesories: If you enjoy the arm of really fat man than he excels in accesories. If you're like me and don't enjoy that than well you're screwed. He doesn't come with any knid of bas ore anything. Just the fat asses arm.

 

Value: With crisp clean paint. Flawless articutlation. But a shitty ass accsesory he's not a bad buy. He's sculpted wonderfully sexy and looks just like his comic counterpart. I'm glad I got him. But for a dollar or less he would've been a better buy.

 

Overall Thought: I was glad when I saw Quicksilver and don't regret getting him. He definately deserves to bae made. And despite popular belief "Hasblow"(come on guys. Grow up. With this name calling why don't you say the female people here have cooties)is doing good with the license. They released some wonderful characters. The paint is good and clean. And the plastic is much much more sturdy. So kudos to Hasbro for releasing my favorite X-Men character. Keep up the good work guys.

I know it's an old figure but a) My Wal-Mart finally got a more figures besides Ult. Xolverine. And I'm a really big fan of Quicksilver. So anyway I've come accustom to Tornato's constant negativity. Don't they have a pill for that stuff. Prozac or something? Anyway. You're welcome. One thing I left out he has treads on the bottom of his boots. I hope to get more reviews up soon.

While I respect your opinion I found Quicksilver to be the most disappointing figure of the wave mainly due the almost complete lack of paint app's. The uniform is really bland and the ugly flesh-toned plastic makes him look like a corpse imo.

Although I found your review to be humorously well-written (damn that sexy Quicksilver and his sexiness!), I would have to say that I disagree with it. Like Duck Face, I think the paint was... disappointing, to say the least. Which was a blow for someone who only wanted Quicksilver and She-Hulk from that wave.

 

I'm a little hesitant on picking him up, because the She-Hulk I got doesn't fit in too well with my other figures, what with her underwhelming skin tones and all.

 

Do you have any pictures of your Quicksilver next to any of your older TB figures?

YES! Someone finnaly got my jokes. Anyway. I was alittle hesitant at first also. But the paint on mine was nice and clean. So I was happy. And no sorry I don't have a digital camera. So I can't help in the picture department.
