Traditional Hasbro ML products - average at best. I’ll be passing on these, all the characters interest me very little except Marvel Girl…whom they significantly botched the head sculpt of. Toybiz’s Cable is infinitely superior, not to mention comic accurate, but then I’ve never liked Cable to begin with…so I could really care less. Then they have that traditional HML plasticy look which I loathe. So I'm passing on these and rightfully so - I'll save my money for better figures, DC Superheroes and LCBH's come to mind.

Uggh...

Cable has the typical HASBRO-Legends face...

Stupid, blank expression, and minimal paint details...like, none.

It's 1996 all over again. In fact, TOY-BIZ figs from 1996 had better details than this.

These are CRAP.

Exactly what I'd expect from HASBRO.

...keep alienating your base...like the Republicans in '06...and watch what happens, you dim-wits...

WHEN WILL THIS BAD DREAM END?!?!?

Oh it's on. No Hasbro bashing fool disses my FA Storm and gets away with it.

I'll tell you when the nightmare will end. The second you stop whining about the past and complaining about the present. Just get off it already. Who the hell are you to go around and say that a figure is "sub-standard" as though your opinion decides the standards of every figure. If you don't like a figure, that's fine. Sit there and complain about how you don't like it until you're blue in the face and your eyes pop out for all I care, but the second you insult my opinion of a quality figure, that's too far.

As for my joke about a blank stare, it was an opportunity for a joke I would've made to anyone. Even the almighty JayC himself.

Oooooohhhhhh...

It's "on"!!! I'm shakin' in my PJs!

Who am I to say that a figure is "sub-standard"? Easy...I'm a guy on a message board with an opinion...just like you are.

Don't like it? Boo-Hoo!!! Have a good cry.

By the way...You do realize that you're defending the honor of a figure that hasn't even been produced, right??? Just checking. Your overly emotional response was...unusual to say the least.

Let me give you a preview of HASBRO's FA Storm:

She'll have a dumb, vapid look on her face, skinny legs and arms, and very little detailing. Basically, they'll re-use the horrendous Emma Frost mold, and make slight modifications.

In other words...she'll suck.

Now who's having a nightmare??

I'll get all this but.. WOW! HML Cable has similarities TB's Stealth Wolverine.

Looks like you left your cape at home Captain Obvious. @smilepunch@ I'm just braking your balls. The new Cable(which I actually think is pretty cool)is a reuse of that version of Wolverine.

Some people just don't understand how collecting toys is supposed to work. It's not that hard of a hobby. When Toybiz, My bad "Marvel" Toys released a figure I didn't think was good I didn't go and try lynching those who like it. I didn't go and insult a figure some people(This one aplies to you Stormfan)have been waiting to be made that has been promised. I didn't say they were easilly pleased. I'll admit it I do like some figures that Hasbro(or as some people call them "Hasblow". Yeah real mature guys. Why not say the females here have cooties?)has shown at SDCC. I really like Cable. And yes the series six(It think that was the one)version was very good. The head sculpt beat this one. And the body was a new sculpt. But how come not many people(possibly none)complained about The Silver Surfer being just a release? They went down the smart route. They did what Toybiz did. So let's just not fight. Let's go back to the roots of toy collecting and have fun. Because that's what toys are for right?

Wow, I can really see a custom Captain N version of Simon Belmont coming out of that Cannonball! Not that I'd want it, but it would be interesting to see. Anyhow, the figure is cool; I like his style. Who is he? Eh, I'll just look it up on Wikipedia.

Domino....familiar, but I still don't know her either. Nice figure though! Good thing she comes with the Cannonball guy, 'cause it looks like I'll be getting that one.

The Cable and Marvel Girl one isn't all that exciting though. Cable is kinda cool looking, but I'm not interested in Marvel Girl (though it is cool that they are finding some room to make some classic figs from existing molds to save some cash).

Certainly two cool packs there, even if I'm not terribly interested. The Cannonball/Domino one is cool though, just from a "I like toys" view. Dunno who they are, but I'm all for cool toys!

Call me crazy but.....isn't that Cannonball a remold of the Toy Biz Marvel Legends Ghost Rider? I mean....they are identical save for the chest/rib cage and head mold....

Oh yeah, completely! I think that's part of the reason I like this one; that Ghost Rider was a fun little toy and I certainly don't mind them using that mold again. In fact, I'm impressed with how it looks. I figured the mold would be too skinny (what with being bones and all) to use on others, but it looks great! Anyhow, the "captain N" comment was mostly aimed at his headsculpt. It looks alot like the Belmont from the show, sans giant chin.

Thanks for the images JayC. I really like the Domino and Cannonball, I think they turned out quite good for just being repaints with new head sculpts. On the other hand Jean looks really crappy and Cable just seems pointless.

You are crazy. Kidding. Cannonball is what you said; a reused ml ghost rider fig

As for the Hasbro Cable, l think his arms as retooled from the ml 6 toy. they look bigger and have the index finger in a new position.

now that I have had a chance to clean up the mess you started, let me address this situation.

So No Tornato never "insulted your opinion of a quality figure." You made no opinion of the FA Storm figure. He said it will be subpar, and somehow you took that as a personal insult to your opinion of a figure. How? @rolleye@

You never said anything about the FA Storm, other than you are happy it will be made. He never insulted your opinion of that figure (he couldn't because you have made no opinion of it).

He said he thinks it will be subpar, and that is his right to do.

As for all of you and the rest of this crap I cleaned up. He has the right t express his opinions on the figures. He has the right to bash Hasbro, AS MUCH AS HE WANTS TO. It is not against the rules, I can not ask him to stop it, and it does not hurt you.

He is not allowed to bash you. And you are not allowed to bash him.

This is a forum where people discuss things, and exchange opinions. His happens to be negative (concerning Hasbro ML figures), and that is his right. You also have the right to express your opinions on said figures. You do NOT have the right to tell him to shut up or tell him to stop posting his remarks, simply because he may insult a figure or company you like.

If you do not like to read his comments, that is your right. Click the ignore button and he will dissappear from your screen. However, it is YOU all who are creating the problem when you jump down his throat for having an opinion you do not like. If he comments negatively towards YOU, insultes you, whatever, feel free to report it..... otherwise, leave the guy alone.

Yep, they're all reuses. Domino is using X-Treme Rogue's body and Marvel Girl is obviously using the HML3 Marvel Girl's body

Done! I don't know why I didn't think of that before. Probably because I've never had to do it. Oh well. The forums should be a million times more pleasant now.

Sorry about all that junk Clam.

oh yeah.. now on to my thoughts of them... well, they looked a lot better at the convention.

Cable looks like he is made of soap. His face was really nice on the prototype, but now he just looks pretty crappy.

He needs more detail in his head sculpt... etc... same old story for recent figures.

Its a shame, because I really liked him in the proto shots.

I am unsure of these now.. I guess I will just have to wait until seeing them in person...

but they went from sure buys, to kinda crappy.
