Mattel's Deluxe Super Friends have hit mass retail...

Today at the Monroe NY Super Wal-Mart I saw the Batcycle & Superman Space Cruiser for $14.88 each. Even though Bats had alot of yellow in his costume I bought it. All they had were those two deluxes no regular figures or Batmobile. I really want the Aquaman & Batmobile. I'll post some pics in a bit.

Nobody comes with the Batmobile. There's a black and gray Batman with the deluxe glider. And from what I read on another board there's also 3 single carded variants showing up at TRU stores...

I picked up Lex and Green Lantern today at K-Mart. Now I just need to find the Batman deluxe figure along with the Batman variants and I'll have everyone I wanted.

Okay, so we do get the black/gray Bats. I might get the Batmobile after all(speaking fof which, how much is that?). I'm more impressed by these than in the Spidey stuff isnce it's not 98% one character with a couple padder characters.

 

Is Lex a villain here or are they doing the Spidey bit where all the "villains" are supposedly good(on a side note, I half expected Carnage to show up in that line as a "helpful jumberjack" type character)?

I am kind of disappointed with these though I remember them being much brighter and more kid friendlier colors where as they seem to have taken the more adult look if you can call it that with more darker colors

definitely clearance items. the batcar is huge but I cant' imagine a kid carrying that thing around. maybe a kid can knock some kid out with it, then its cool.

Aquaman and Lex are shortpacked from what I understand. Though Aquaman gets his own sub in series two. Also for series 2 you can expect to get Flash, Hawkman & Cyborg. Oh and a Batjet to.

I just bought the three variant Super Friends Batman figures at the Nanuet NY TRU...they had 1 black/gray & 1 all black costumed figures left. They also had the 2 figures w/ vehicles (Batcycle & Supes Space Cruiser) sets and plenty of the 2 figure-less Bat-vehicles (ATV & Batplane) Now I just need to find the Deluxe Batman w/Glider and I'll be set until new characters are released. As I'll have all Batman figures and one of everyone else.
