The weekend box office actuals are in and "Transformers" fared a smidgen better against the wizards in "Harry Potter & The Order of the Phoenix" than studio estimates released on Sunday.

"Transformers" was down 47% versus the studio-predicted 49% by taking in just a little under $37.1 Million in weekend actuals, up $1.1 Million than predicted. Meanwhile, "Harry Potter"'s fifth installment took in $300,000 less than estimated.

That puts "The Order of the Phoenix" $6 below the $18,000 per screen threshold at $17,994, just $519 more per screen in its first weekend debut when compared to "Transformers"' first weekend performance.

Meanwhile, "Transformers" continues its domination in the foreign box office including the Asia region, giving it an accumulated $370.7 Million in worldwide ticket sales.

Uh not to seem rude but WHO CARES? Honestly, We all saw the movies and formed our opinion on them. It is little surprise that Transformers is doing so well because of all the promotion. just let the movies run their course. Why do we have to keep track every week of how Transformers does when a potential blockbuster comes out? You are excited for the movie, understood and feeling is shared, but the constant tracking just seems a bit, juevnille. Again, not trying to start a flame here justpuzzeled on why the need to continually track it when the immediate benefit of seeing it is gained.

Okay, said it. Im content now.

Perhaps because we're huge fans of the property and are excited that it's doing so well, which gives us hope that future movies will also be great and that our favorite toyline will continue for many years to come?

Yes, not to mention the fact that the more cash it makes the greater the likelihood that it will get a much larger budget which *could* lead to a lot more bots being added for the sequel.

Didn't realize it was so offensive to discuss financial success of movies. Maybe you should avoid the topic if it bothers you so much.

6. Has made me realize that Mountain Dew and Nokia are evil, and if ever exposed to alien energy, they'll turn on you and try to kill you
