Where Are The Marvel Legends in CANADA??

Just a complaint...and then an appeal for help.....

I live in Canada in the Niagara Falls area.....and I have yet to see a Hasbro Marvel Legends Series Two this side of the border......

A trip across the river to Target and WalMart netted me a complete set of Series two (wow...that She-Hulk and Thor are truly AWESOME) as well as an extra She-Hulk for trading and a Silver Surfer Wal Mart exclusive.

But where OH WHERE in Canada can I find the toys I crave??? How about it fellow Canucks....where are the best sources for my Marvel Legends fix? How soon will they come to my little corner of the world?.....Must I continue to drive across the Peace Bridge in support of my habit???

Pardon Me, But Could YOU Help A Fellow Canadian Who Is Down On His Luck?

Online stores and comic shops only. TRU or Wal-mart? Not happening, maybe by christmas. I'm in Vancouver and it's only wave one in stores.

I hooked up with a small toy store in rural BC that ordered them thru Diamond, got them in about a month ago. Priced them at just above major chain retail ( TRU $12.99) so it was well worth it for me to go thru my local guy.

Seriously, its probably the easiest way to do this.

I've never seen the new MLs2 in retailers except in comicshops. And of course the comic shops make changes with the retailer price. Thor and Quicksilver is priced the highest for like $20. Others are like $13 I think

Thanks for the suggestions.....I have been checking in many of those places....but I think that our friend above from BC is right.....we will see them at Christmas.....:(

But what a score you got at Zellers! Any variants?

Also, maybe you and I should talk trades!!

Canada can be 3-6 months behind in toyline distribution with major chains, which is how its long been.

This is because the allotments we get up are small compared to those in the USA. Some of the distribution can be held back for seasonal pushes--like Christmas--when toys typically sell better.

20 years ago, something would debut in May in the USA and we'd get it on the pegs in October. Its just the way the system is.

Perhaps they were banned by Canada's socialist government???

Just a thought.

...could happen!!

LOL....I guess so....but I have to say that the prevailing party and it's "socialist" agenda have yet to let us in on their action figure plat form. But I will keep you posted....until then, I am off to enjoy some health care...lol

Yeah I ended up just grabbing them at my comic store. HML1 got here so fast I figured they'd be at retail by like June, but here we are, so I just caved and went to the comic store.

yeah, I saw them at two local comic stores....one would only sell it as a complete set (pretty decent price and a real nice "comic book guy" and the other was selling them individually for about $5 above what Wal Mart would charge......I passed on the set, thinking I would get them easily at Toys R' Us or Wal Mart, but it has been some time. I broke down and bought the Thor from the second guy...just too good a sculpt to pass up on. The comic shop with the set sold them pretty fast.........I think within the first week.

And as I said before, I had to go the US of A to get a complete set. So I now have an extra Thor and She-Hulk (openers) and am waiting until they FINALLY arrive here to get the rest so I can build Blob....

And admit it...wouldn't the Candidate who actually had an "Action Figure Platform", regardless of Party affiliation, get you vote??

They'd get mine.

Yup, Canada sucks for toys. Just be glad you don't live where i am: One walmart, one zellers, no Toys'r'us, and ONE comic store (that only has ML14).

Shouldn't Canada (minus the French-speaking parts) just get it over with and join the USA?

Better access to quality action figures is a good enough reason to become Americans, if you ask me.

Besides...as an American, I'm sick of having to go through customs when I fly into Toronto...if it was part of the USA, my life would be a LOT easier...

And you could get a REAL football franchise, from the NFL...again, that's a good deal if you ask me,

Substitute Mexico for Canada and then ask yourself the question again. Would you want that to happen?

We are better off as separate nations, though you folks have waaaaaaaaaaaaaaay better junk food.

Only seen Hasbro's ML Wave 2 in Comic Book and collector toy stores. Haven't seen them in retail myself. Only possiblilities for retail is either they will come later in the year, or never at all(Espeically since you take into account the other upcoming Hasbro ML waves, such as the Spider-man 3 wave which retails may more want to order than the other waves, and the wave after that will probably be more out around Christmas time as well).

I remember around early last year. I saw a few Transformers Cybertron Thunderblast's in Toys R Us, but held back in buying her because I wanted to focus on some other stuff, and I thought I would see a bunch of her in retail within a month or 2(Similar to Cybertron's Sideways and pretty much most of the Cybertron toys I've gotten before and after). However, after that, I never saw her again in retail, only in comic book and collector toy stores for just over $20.00. And I remember the retail stores didn't order that much new Cybertron stuff(Just a few here and there but they usually disappeared fast because they were in low numbers) until about the end of Summer 2006 because they still had a bunch of left over Cybertron toys from around and just after Christmas 2005.

Sad reality of living in Canada sometimes. But then again, we sometimes get stuff before the U.S. as well.

Actually, I disagree.

It sucks if you want to walk into a TRU or a Walmart and see the latest things that the States are getting.

It sucks if you want stores like Meijers, Big Lots, or Target which have exclusive we seldom get.

But all those things can be had up here by the savvy collectors.

I live a full hour from the nearest Toy store of any stripe, a good 2-2 1/2 hours from the nearest TRU or Walmart( double that in winter), and yet, I have no trouble getting what I want.

I think a collector up here just needs to be ready to roll with the punches, and be flexible in how they go about collecting.

I agree thats its not that hard to get stuff if you really want it, but for me:

-I like going into stores and seeing new stuff there and snatching it up like theres no tomorrow

-i hate shipping charges

-my comic store sucks and probably wouldnt order anything in, and if they did it would be insanely overpriced.

Hey, I'm all about EMPIRE AMERICA, so I'd take Mexico in a heart-beat.

They've got great beaches, and the labor is dirt-cheap down there...

Could we subjugate the masses?? That'd be fun, too...

Lindsey Lohan, Paris Hilton, Britany Spears, Jessica/Ashley Simpson, K-Fed, Justin Timberlake, 50 Cent + generic radio rap, Fallout Boy + generic emo music, The Pussycat Dolls, American Idol, Are You Smarter Than a 5th Grader, Larry the Cable Guy, total obsession with the death of some washed up fat former super model, Donald Trump, Rosie O'Donnel, HAIRSPRAY (the movie), Micheal Bay, Reality TV, Dog the Bounty Hunter, George Bush, Iraq, Guantanimo, etc etc etc

If Celine Dion is the worst we've done...well I can live with that haha
