Are they gonna reissue the 5-pack figures in single packs??

So, I guess Hasbro was only planning to put out the 5-packs initially, and no single packs...

 

but now that they have at least 3 waves of single packs planned, do you think they will reissue those 5 pack figures in single-pack form???

 

 

I mean, I am gonna buy all the figures twice, so I have one to keep MOC... and it is gonna piss me off that I won't have some of the main characters in single packs for my MOC collection.

 

do you want Hasbro to put them out again on cards???

 

are you keeping a set MOC?

I just paid $33.95 on ebay for roadblock and gung ho shipped to england. I'd feel ripped if I ever thought I'd see them over here! LOL

I hope they do release some of them singly.

but isn't that like being pissed off that you don't have a v1 Cutter or Ace in single card form because they weren't released on them?

 

but yes, I think we will see them on single cards after the 5 packs disappear from shelves. Hasbro isn't going to not give potential future customers who start collecting late the opportunity to get Destro, Baroness, Duke, Scarlett, etc., simply because they were essentially the first release of figures in a special Anniversary gift music package. I think this is a no-brainer on Hasbro's part.

Hasbro has said that figures, like Duke, who did not come with original items like the backpack, will likely be re-issued as singles with such an accessory, at a later date. They did not say if the impetus for a singles release is to be based soley on that premise, an added accessory, or if a singles release is planned just so that each 5-pack figure can be individually available later.

Business-wise, it makes sense to salt the 5-pack figures in with following waves to make them available for anyone who wants them as individuals.

Yes, I agree about Baroness; mine came with a horribly-bowed right leg. Here are the changes I'd like to see if they're re-released as singles with tweaks:

 

Duke: Swivel-forearm joints hidden at the sleeve, back-pack added. And he needs ball-jointed elbows that allow for a greater range of motion.

 

Scarlett: None. I'm not sure she could be improved upon quite frankly.

 

Gung-Ho: He's okay as-is, just as long as they give him tighter leg-joints and a grenade-launcher that stays together better. Oh, and like Duke, he needs ball-jointed elbows.

 

Snake-Eyes: This figure is durn-near perfect in my eyes. I wouldn't mind it if he were a little-bit darker black.

 

Roadblock: I LOVE this figure, but they need to close-up the hands more so he can hold his gun better.

 

Cobra Soldier: As with Duke and Gung-Ho, fix the elbow joint, and you have perfection.

 

Cobra Commander: I'd like to see the paint highlights done that VH recommended, plus a new head with a non-removeable helmet. I've decided that him having a helmet that comes off just to reveal that chrome-dome is pretty-much useless.

 

Baroness: Fix the legs, Hasbro, and she's fine.

 

Storm Shadow: This figure is pretty-much perfect as-is. Hasbro truly nailed it with this one. But it just occured to me: where are his nunchucks?

 

Destro: Perfect as-is, although I would like to have seen him come with his signature pistol.

 

All in all, I think each of the tweaks mentioned above justifies a re-issue on single cards. I'm extremely excited to think that will be the case, even if they don't change a thing.

Actually no; I meant a gun that's identical or closer to the original. That one looks like a sawed-off, more compact version.

Hopefully it will mean they will fix all the problems with the figures too.

 

I wonder if, maybe, we haven't heard squat or seen pics about Wave 2 in order for them to take into account fan discussions.

Hmmm.

I doubt they will be fixing the problems anytime soon(if ever). Doesn't seem to be as much outcry as when they replaced the o-ring with the swivel hips.
