I believe I just shait my self at the thought of movie combiners... I think defensor would be a good one and then devistator or bruticus for the decepticons... I wonder how they could go down that path though and at the same time keep it real ... yo... & if they want more humans they can use the remaining army troopers fromt he last film to focus on too... They seemed to be focusing on that one leader guy quite a bit in the last one for what ever reasons...

 

I'd love to see how the autobots have been interacting with the humans since the end of this one too... I can't see the gov just leaving them be with out trying to get some kind of tech out of them or some such... & it would be odd if they all just hanged with spike errr sam... :S HEH at his house like they were at the end of the movie

 

Ahhhh I'm excited just thinking about the NEXT movie now THANKS LEO I wonder how long it will take for them to set a date for it! I just hope the #1 is not such a big hit that they feel rushed to put out another one & they take the time to do it right again! I suppose they will milk the new animated series & toys dry untill the next one we most likely won't see it till 2010 or more?.. :S

I dug the hell out of Jazz's dance moves when he transformed. His "death" was pure crap though. I prefer the Target Exclusive Jazz's bios side of things.

 

I really wouldn't be surprised if they brought back any of the "dead" TF's in the sequels. Frenzy was beheaded and still was alive and kicking so why not Bonecrusher(and his pathetic >5minutes of screen time).

 

I also wonder what happened to the MountainDew bot (Despinsor, tee hee) and the 360 guy. And where was Barricade at the end?

I have absolutely no problem with any of the TF dying. Its more realistic that way. Plus they have a mountain of TFs to pull from for any sequels.

 

As far as Jazz dying, he should have died. In a real battle he couldnt fight Megs. Plus he and bumblebee are the smaller bots. I do think it was a little weak how blackout died.

 

 

Another kinda cool aspect was that humans actually fair well against the TF. Not like in the toon.

Fantastic! Even the wife said this is the best movie she has seen in a long time. There were at least three occasions where everyone in the theater was clapping, which is rare now days. The first time you see/hear Prime sent chills up my back. Some of the dialog was weak, but it's bay.

 

I wish there were more scenes of them fighting. SS needed to be used more(he is great in the game). The first Barracade/Bumble fight was great.

 

Product placement up the wazoo.

 

I have so many thoughts on this movie and can't put them all down. I'll have to come back once everything sinks in. Frenzy's non-speech was the best.

I was hoping for better reviews. In spite of not being a fan of the designs, I don't want this movie to do badly. Oh well. It will still do OK in spite of the ratings.

Actually Frenzy got on my nerves... he sounded like something from some other movie, and I can't put my finger on it.

 

The entire movie i was MESMERIZED! We sat REALLY close, all the seats were taken b4 we got there, and so everything was MASSIVE. I didn't like how close some of the fights were, it was hard to figure out was going on. I didn't exactly like how easily Megs died, and I felt SO bad for Jazz. I loved his character here! He was hilarious... I don't think he was so "stereotypically" black, as more they were trying to explain WHY his name was Jazz. All the autobots were hilarious and had the best characters. I loved their voices, except Bumblebee's was a little weird... I didn't like how the humans could kill Tf's but I guess it made it so the movie could actually end. lol I also didn't like how Starscream was onscreen for like, 2 seconds, and then you see him disappear. And is Seibertron ACTUALLY destroyed, or basically just unliveable?

 

Hopefully Megs isn't dead for good... I was the one who suggested the undersea base... I hope that's the case, and more fights between Megs and Starscream would be awesome! I loved how they thru in a BUNCH Of G1 lines... people would clap and woot every time one was said!

i think this was the best action movie in YEARS! i coudlnt belive i sat for 2.45 hours and it felt like an hour.

Amazing movie! Best fight was definitely prime vs bonecrusher. I loved the way bc was basically roller bladeing after prime! Hey vehicles have weels even when in bot mode...might as well use them ss was underused but his fight scene against the other jets was really cool and im sure he will be back with the other seakers in the seaqual. Scorpinok was very well done. I loved watching his battle scenes. Bumblebee was hilarious playing the right songs at the right time with sam and mikaela (man was she hot!)

Yeah it kinda sux that jazz died but it was realistic battle and at least it was in the blaze of glory and against the most powerful con himself. The whole theater (over 100) cheered/clapped at the end which I haven’t seen in a long time. Excellent movie over all and I would definitely go see it again!

I couldn`t believe just how great this movie was! I liked everything about it (except poor Jazz dying). I thought everything was handled perfectly and the audience was going crazy! It got a standing ovation at the end from EVERYONE! I`ve never seen that kinda response for a movie. The part where Bumblebee peed on the Sector 7 guy had me rolling on the floor laughing!!!!!!! Then when the accused Sam of masturbating was hilarious and very unexpected! Even the Autobots trying to hide at his house cracked me up, they were being so annoying and it was great!

I can see Starscream coming back, rallying the "troops", when all of a sudden Megs or Galvy is back! Only thing is, if that happens, the only way to get rid of the a Starscream threat is kill him. And you can't kill Starscream! lol

Best action movie I have ever seen. My jaw just dropped and I got chills everytime someone transformed. Cullen was perfect as Prime, of course.

 

Pros:

-Action like I have never seen

-Every penny that went to ILM for the CGI was well-spent

-Great fights

-A lot more comedy than I expected and most of it worked really well

- Megs was a total badass

- Barricade was probably one of my favorites...he was just awesome, which shocked me

 

Cons:

-Starscream underused

-Some action shots were too tight

-Megs really kicked the crap out of Prime at the end....too one-sided

 

 

Oh, and yes, Jazz is "black." It did nto really bother me when he bit the dust, because it showed what a badass Megs is.

i liked the part with mallika's(sp) family history. it made sense how she knew how to hot wire the tow truck. your average 17 year old hottie cant do that.

Just to add some more info on Jazz. In the movie he is voiced by Darius McCrary aka Eddie Winslow from Family Matters.

Ok now a question, did it ever show what happened to Barricade or Scorponok? Also did they call Brawl, Devastator???

 

Barricade was chasing the motorcade down and then just sort of went MIA, my theory is that he was still too damaged from his fight with Bumblebee to be any use in the battle. Or maybe Starscream had him doing some side mission.

 

Scorponok might be dead, but they were a little hazy on that, it wasn't very clear if he was even alive in the first place or if he was just some sort of drone that Blackout controlled. He didn't even transform.

 

As for them calling Brawl : Devastator, I think you might be right. As we were leaving some of my friends were saying how cool Devastator was and I thought they were mistaken and talking about Bonecrusher, but then they said they were talking about the tank. I insisted that the character was named Brawl like the Combaticon but they said he called himself Devastator in the movie.

 

Edit: found this from the BotCon 08 panel: Brawl in the movie was named Devastaor by mistake. "due to a continuity issues...."

The movie was good, my wife also loved it!

The theater was not packed, to my surprise, but then again, they had 3 showings at 8:00....

As for the movie, I still didn't like the flames on OP, i would of loved the original red & blue...but I can't complain, he was badass especially Pete C voicing him...man, that was the best move ever hiring him.

Megatron...blah... I didn't like he's body, looked like a skeleton. But his character was perfect...specially telling starscream"you failed me again starscream!".

The rest of the tfmers where cool too... the voices fit them perfect.

About a sequel...I highly doubt it. I don't know how they could top this movie even higher that what it is..even if they bring gestalts or combiners,... it's not going to be new seeing cars transforming or a better story line.

The plot was GREAT.

Those critics...man... they suck.. all they see is toys & profits...they didnt' pay attention to the whole ordeal... they just know this movie is gonna kick a$$!!! in gross
