arguments ? such as? are you going to start policing peoples opinions on Iron Man ? You havent been here long enough to decide what one can and what one cannot post in terms of opinion. I think Iron Man is a sell out and a jerk, others feel differerntly... Others will be just as passioniate about thier love of iron man as I am in my distaste for him, especially after civil war, tell you what, when you break 200 posts, come back and tell me how to post. The truth of my position is that I believe that Iron Man is a false prophet, he is on the pay roll of SHEILD and the US Government and for me, that means he is corrupted at his core and beyond his own ambitions and his deluded belief that the government will use Super's in a responsible way he is selfish and stupid . But I understand why he is loved, he is an everyman, he has no powers per se, he uses a suit of armor and the money at his disposal, he is like syndrome from the incredibles, I dont respect his positions and I do not believe he has anything but his own legacy, self interest and his business in mind.

 

I am not sure that all that drinking he has done hasnt permenantly affected his thought process

Does anyone remember what this thread was originally about, of has it simply devolved into quoting as many previous posts as possible and bashing each other?

 

 

Let's resume talking about Iron Man ACTION FIGURES ( or if you prefer the term: dollies).

 

Since they are putting out a Hulk line of figures, I don't see why they couldn't do an Iron Man line of bigger sized figures like Titanium Man, Crimson Dynamo, the Controller, Iron Monger, etc. IM has a great rogues gallery like Spymaster, Ghost, Blizzard, Backlash, and last but not least, there are SOOO many variations of the armor still to be made. I personally want a Layton/Michelinie late 80's version. The one right after the Silver Centurion armor. And the Jim Lee Heroes Reborn version is cool too. After his movie comes out, we'll be seeing LOTS of IM but I'm hoping its Legends sized and not the movie 5" versions.

well if we are talking about the figures, I like the House of M Iron Man, very very cool and the First Appearance one, silver not gold.

Here in San Diego, the banners for this year's Comic-Con uses IM. I guess his involvement in "Civil Wars" elevated him to HOT status.

That Comic Con poster reminds that BIG BROTHER (aka Tony Stark) is watching........

 

Tony is on the cusp of falling into villiany.....he is too powerful and lacks the moral fibre needed to wield his ability.

 

His alcholism, which it seems he has overcome for the time being, is his last remaining human frailty. For him to "get back to his roots" will be a hard task indeed. I have little hope for his redemption.

 

But, then again, he is a comic character....that means he can change, or come back from the dead, or loose his powers or gain new ones or or or......etc.....

 

But isn't the ride fun?
