Fantasy Iron Man Classics Line

Here's the scenario: It's 2008. The Iron Man movie is about to hit screens and the figures have just started to appear at the toy stores. What figures and what kind of Iron Man action features/accessories would you like to see with the figures? If you're really need it in order to play, pretend ToyBiz still has the license. There... feel better?

 

Maybe some light up repulsors or unibeam, a Tony Stark figure with mask and gauntlets?? Maybe a true modular armor with different armor parts that you can mix and match and various add ons?

I'd do a line called Iron Man: Proto-Tech.

 

A series of Iron Man figures with fantasy armors, some based on the comics, some completely--but logically--made up just for the line.

Proto-tech is all the hypothetical prototypes he'd have in development.

 

Hyper-space armor--a prototype deep-space suit to allow IM to travel thru Hyper-space on his own.

Hulk-Buster II armor--cuz I think the current (old) version is going to be crumpled like a beer can by World War Hulk

Nuke-Buster Armor-designed to augment the Ballistic Missile shield/screen system.

Atlantis armor--prototype deep-sea suit

Panther-Buster II--first time not so good, second time.........muuuuuuccch better.

War Machine MK3--bigger, Badder

Guardsman--Tony's not just thinking of himself, he'd be looking at some back-up in case he's knocked-out--so he augments the Guardsmen Corps at the VAULT.

"Katana" armor--basically another version of the Ninja armor from the 90's IM toy-line. Since a lot of bad-guys seem to send ninja folks after Stark, he might as well build a better defense.

Salvage-armor--maybe a spin-off here, but its a NON-offensive suit, designed with constructions/salvage tools to allow Stark to retrieve tech in hazardous places, or aid in Stark Industries construction projects.

Stealth Armour Mk 3--completely clear re-cast version of the ML 1 armor

 

 

And IM's foes would be part of R.U.S.T. ( Ruin, Undermine, Sabotage, Terrorize), a conglomeration of villains and miscreants setting out to make everyone's day a bad day.

i think a series 1 iron man with red metallized parts like the Ult IM would be really cool. maybe give him the varient figure's 'pointy' faceplate.

i wouldnt mind seeing the modern IM kitbashed into the new War Machine armor

A Tony figure with his yellow undersuit would be cool too, like in the current comics

an IM line would be awesome! it would be an instance where it actually IS friendly to "kid and collector alike" as advertized with previous lines (that really werent kid or collector friendly at the same time in most cases, lol)

 

mostly itd be great because they could sell lots of versions of the hero (a la spidey) that are all relevant or at least would look cool, and itd be a chance for us collector types to get some IM villains

Mind you, I'm not a Hasbro-hater. I've snagged the 1st wave of ML and a couple of the 2nd that I could find happily.

 

But to be postive about it, heck ya, IM is perfect for his own toy line, he's got a big enough Rogues Gallery to do with, along with credible reasons for making 300 different versions of him. I'd totally waste money on it.

IT true that hasbro has done 5 inch for spider-man 3 and ff 2 but after alot of of giving out from the fans ( i know compare to when?) they should listen ............eventually and make it a 6 inch line

I would LOVE to have an Iron Man with interchangable armors but I don't see it every happening. Why do that when they could make more money releasing each armor as individual figures.

 

 

The only way I could see it happening is if they did it box set style. One figure with like 5 or 6 different armors and perhaps different box sets with variant armors. Otherwise we'd talking about accessory packs, and we've never seen that for ML and I doubt we ever will.

 

 

Give me any Iron Man armor, I don't care! They can keep making different versions until they've done them all and then make up all new ones. I've always thought he was one of the coolest cartoon and comic characters ever. So as long as I'm collecting, I'll buy them.

Buuuuuuuuut, being that Hasbro seems to be going with the 5'' scale for movie based Marvel characters based on the Spidey/FF figures movie figs, I would not want any part of a 5'' scale movie Ironman line, it's either 6'' scale or nothing for me!

 

As far as snap on armor, etc. no thanks, that was cool for the 90s line & for the little kids, but I'd much prefer some great comic accurate 6' scaled Ironman & his villians figures thank you.

How about instead of 'snap on' armor, we get 'magnetized' armor? Instead of small clips that snap the pieces together on arms and legs, the clips would actually be magnets that attach seamlessly? Of course costs would probably prohibit it but hey, I can dream.

I like Arrows idea of made up armors. I'd love it too if they made comic accurate armours but I dunno, the thought of having an extra line based on totally bizarre yet cool armours would be nice.

I was satisfied with the "Armors" we got for IM in the ML line, so if there ever was a Classics line I'd like it to include villains like Spymaster, The Ghost, Justin Hammer, Titanium Man, and Crimson Dynamo('80s look).

 

Yet, A Hydro Armor IM would be something I'd like to see.
