What should I use to make a symbiote Spider-Man?

Like alot of others, the 5 inch scale just isn't doing it so I want to make my own black costume Spider-Man, so I am going to use one of the older toybiz Spider-Man toys to make it, but what should I use to sculpt the spider symbol on his chest, and the best color to over line the web on his costume.

Unless you just WANT to do a custom, I would wait on the 6" spidey that's coming closer to the time of the movie. Don't know if you've missed the discussions, but a full collectors 6" line is coming out closer to the movie that will have all the characters from the movie and a BAF. If you just can't wait and want to make one... you might try using something like like a toothpaste tube and trim it to be like the spider then glue it down and paint over it.

Hasbro is making it?

Yes, Hasbro is making it. They are doing a whole line of 6" ML quality Spiderman 3 figures with a BAF (probably giant Sandman-hasn't been confirmed yet), but it will have All the major characters, Normal spidey, Black Spidey, Venom, Sandman, Doc Ock, Green Goblin, Mary Jane, Hobgoblin - Harry. Hasbro's doing this series and they are doing a 6" Fantastic Four series to compliment the FF movie figures but it will be based on Comic versions of the characters and come with a BAF Ronan the Accuser. Here's the scan of that part of the order form:

No release dates have been made clear on these but they are coming. It all comes down to how patient you are. Hasbro's intentionally not mentioning these publically hoping the collectors will buy a lot of the 5" stuff to begin with since it's not widely known the 6" are coming then when the 6" comes out they'll buy those too and Hasbro gets to double dip, but enough folks know about the 6" now to hopefully keep unaware collectors from buying the lousy 5" figures. Remember
