Why WAL MART SUCKS!

What is the big deal? He is right. Street dates do have alot of consquences to it they are not observed correctly. Yes, it was the stockers fault but it is the company itself will have the effect. I have heard on some DVD releases some companies were not able to get the certain movie till after the street date. Well, not DVD, it was VHS, but concept is the same.

Besides, again I ask, what is the big deal, you will get the merchandise soon enough, be patient:)

I too have worked in retail, and have, more often than not, seen people who were either inept, stupid, or just plain delinquent when it came to their very easy work. They wanted everything for nothing and thought that checking items into the back of the store or putting them on shelves equated divinity or royalty.

And I should also qualify that this WM I'm talking about is notorious for its ****** selection, rude and often non-existent customer service, and a general slack-jawed idiocy amongst the staff.

I don't mean to criticize everyone working in retail, as I did myself for years.

I'm also curious how this slipped past everyone's attention. My suspicion is that it will be a store exclusive, similar to the Kal El Superman Returns figure TRU got last year. If it is 5" (which I strongely believe it is), I'm thinking the only change MIGHT be a chrome/shiny grey with black, rather than the greys seen on the regular figure

Nope, I had the figure in hand and inspected a few to find the one with the best pait app.

Sadly, they were all pretty bad. Gray webs instead of silver like on the SM2 Toy Biz Spidey, and white eyes and spider.

The only silver is on the package, which I think the spent more on than the figure.

If this line is really 5 inches, I'm not going to be collecting it as I previously thought I would.

Something similar happened to me. Sometime before Christmas i walked in and saw an encap filled with Tickle Me Elmos. The sign said limit 2, so i picked up the 2 and then proceeded to walk around the store. When I finaly went to pay for it they told me"You can't buy those." I said what? 'They weren't supposed to be out, they're for a sale tomorrow". I had to go back to customer service and give them back.

The special limited edition Walmart one is quite different actually. I got one today. It has a vac metal type finish.

What's the scale? 5" or 6"? 4"? 33-1/3"?

For those who got the Wal-Mart Exclusive Limited Editon Black Spider-man 3 figure(Which is 5"), according to the Action Figure Insider message boards, someone state that the back of the packaing also states that there is suppose to be a Wal-Mart Exclusive Limited Editon Venom from the Spider-man 3 line done in the same style that's suppose to come out sometime in the near future. Here's the link to the fourm:

For those who have the Wal-mart Exclusive Black Spider-man 3 figure, could you please check the back of the packaging to verify this. Just want to know if it's true or not.

Those new superhero squad look great, I can't wait to pick up that chrome green goblin and spidey. About the walmart employees, is there anything you can really do. Some people are nicer than others and there may be ways around this poor system they have in place. If anybody here has a 24 hour walmart around they know that the unopened boxes come in the isles around 11 o clock. It is the collectors duty at these places to look at the palletes and find what they want. If you ask a worker to open it up, they usually will. But of course there's some of those unfriendly people who say that stuff is not going out tonight, come beack later in the week. That's when you ask your girlfriend or wife or somebody to distract the wokrer by drawing them away from the palletes. Pack the cases into your cart and head to the garden section (by the way nobody works there at night), then take your keys out and open away. True story, just sunday night I got 11 of the hot wheels batmobiles along with 2 super treasure hunts and 2 regular treasure hunts of the nissan skyline. It has also worked for some of the rarer marvel figs that you just cannot find on the shelves. It may strange, but sometimes it's the only way to get what you need.

Steal them! WalMart sucks anyway so you should save your money and pocket the figures. I would do it in a flash, gladly. Shoplift! Shoplift! Shoplift! Shoplift! ...etc.

No reason to risk and put yourself in that situation.

If your walmart has a U-scan, and you have any inkling that your item might not be for sale yet (ie due to a certain release date/street date), just take an item that is the same price, preferabbly by the same company and/or same theme, scan it instead of the actual item, place the actual item (n this case the limited ed. spiderman) in the bag, and set aside the one you scanned.

This way you have paid for the item, have the receipt, and the item you set aside at the register will be restocked and sold eventually. Everybody wins, even Walmart who makes $40million ever hour of every day!!!

I've worked retail for 10 years, and everything about stockers not reading the package is true.

However, it's also the management's fault for not informing and following up with their stocking staff and their unloading team. Street dated merch should always be segregated when unloaded off the truck, always.

If you put out street dated merch and someone wants to buy it, you sell it to them and pull the rest as quickly as possible.

As for fines, Walmart is not going to get fined for action figures. Their futture allotments might get cut, but that would only be the offending stores.

A buddy picked me up just about all of them yesterday from a Target and yep, they actually put them on the shelves AND let people buy them too!!! Something a store SHOULD be doing!

Are you reading this WAL-MART!?!

(sorry still bitter...)

My walmart has changed all the pegs around again and put a sign up that 'SpiderMan' will be at the store on Saturday the 24th. Just a wild guess that they will be putting the new figures out then ;)

I went to 2 wal-marts yesterday and there was nothing Marvel related. Just empty pegs. Tons of "Cars" toys and a ton of Pirates of the Caribbean toys. Just no HML or Spiderman Origins.

So they suck because they wouldn't sell you street dated merchandise that was mistakenly put out early? Wow, the mind boggles.

It's like bitching because they didn't sell you a Wii or PS3 that was accidently stocked in the video game case before the release date.

Seriously, do you guys ever stop to listen to yourselves.

Do you ever stop to listen to how arrogant and pompous YOU sound? Until you do, kindly shut your mouth.

The fact is, the people who stock the shelves haven't the common sense to READ A PACKAGE. They're idiots, which is why they're doing what they do. Though one would think they could at least use SOME basic skills, like reading.

On the limited edition Spidey:

It appeared that the figure was five inches and was packaged in a silver and black box with "limited edition" stamped on in silver. They were the only SM3 action figures on the shelves.

GL

I marvel at my arrogance and pompous attitude just about everyday. I'm quite full of myself. So since I do, I don't see myself shutting my mouth anytime soon. @HOTROD@

KTHXBYE

In regards to the people not reading packages, that's why the big wigs at wally world saw fit to hardlock the items at the register. Probably because they didn't have enough faith in their drones to actually read the streetdate info.
