definately cyclops for so many reasons:

1) his power has changed

2) he's the boss

3) he's not a super genius (there are too many heroes that happen to have genius IQ)

4) he's tragic which makes him interesting

5) His bloodline

the media has turned cyclops into a bore his character was never given justice in the cartoons and the movies(as far as cyke was concerned) were a joke. how do you kill cyke in the first 20 minutes of what is supposed to be the dark phoenix saga? the DPS was so good not because of what happend to jean but because of how the rest of the x-men dealt with it, and mostly meant cyclops.

ok rant over.

I tend to play for the underdogs

Heroes

1. Penance (not the new "Penance" that was formerly Speedball... but the real Penance from Generation X.

2. Banshee (dead for now... I'm sure they will bring him back someday)

3. Maggot Very original and lots of fun... not a super powerful character that could kill anyone with a whim like every other character becomes

4. Marrow When she was an X-man. She added a fun bad ass to the team... that wasn't able to live through anything (Wolverine for example) but wasn't afraid to take on anyone.

5. Hugo Hurley... no wait thats from LOST...

The real 5. Blink she's just friggin awesome! And the Exiles rule!

Villians

1. Dark Beast fun and evil spin on Hank McCoy. I want him back to his evil ways soon.

2. Juggernaut when he was a baddie he did major damage and was fun to see... I do however like him better as an X-Man

3. Mr. Sinister evil but with purpose... he believes in what he is doing.

4. Emplate yes Emplate... the gene sucking elephant man who ran amok in the pages of Generation X.

5. Pyro he's an evil firebug from down under... and whats not to love about that?

Least Favorites...

Heroes

Wolverine just tired of seeing him show up in everything

Spiderman liked the movie version... but bored with the comic

Ironman never liked him... but Steel is my Favorite DC character...

Bucky I don't think I need a reason for that one

Hyperion they just gave him too much power

Villians

Doc Ock just seems lame to me

Orphan Maker lame lame lame lame

Thats really about it for villians that I hate.

And it's not the first time Iron Man's been villainous. Armor Wars and the Crossing are two examples I can think of right off the top of my head.

Yeah, I understand, but I find many many people started to hate IM since Civil War has started... :D

Mine are mostly female--I find them much more interesting than most of the male characters...Most of mine are X-men related since that is the comic I have read most. With that said:

5) Spider-Woman--I remember watching the cartoon when I was a kid and really liking her more than Spiderman. I loved her red and yellow costume and I imagined my mom looking like her because she has long black hair.

4) Storm-Exotic goddess and spiritual sister to Jean Grey. I can't imagine one without the other. She is so exotic and regal---I love her.

3) Northstar- I relate so much to his character. I wish Marvel was not afraid to do more with him. I actually love him with the X-men, and I love the development he has with Colossus over in the Ulimtate X-men series.

2) X-man/Nate Grey-- My favorite character from the AOA series, and a male version of Jean. I was saddened when he died. I would have preferred Jean have nate naturally in her world.

1) Jean Grey/Phoenix--I fell deeply in love with her. The gold and green costume is iconic, and I always loved her powers, and passionate personality. I wish Quesada would just admit that there are many people that really love her, and she definately has her own fan base. She has so much potential, and can be so much more than a supporting character for Cyclops or Wolverine. I would love to see her return in her own mini-series that focuses soley on her and not the X-men. I would like to see her mesh with other Marvel characters, like Misty Knight (weren't they once roomates?) or team up with Spider Woman, Namor, or even Gladiator.

Villians:

I don't have that many villians that I am crazy about, but if I had to choose:

5) Mystique--She is just a cool character with her own agenda and loyal to no one.

4) Magneto--I don't really see him that much as a villian, only as an opposite to the X-men

3) Sinister- There is something awesome about a villian who is cold and regal looking at the same time.

2) Emma Frost- She is the type of character I love to hate, although I like her more than a villian than an X-man.

1) Dark Phoenix- What can I say? The costume, the power, the beauty. Mean Jean is #1 for me again.

One a side note:

Colossus, Cyclops, Ice-man, Angel, Human Torch, Gladiator, and Namor (green trunks) are other favorites....

I don't hate Iron Man, I think he makes an interesting villain, even if accidently.

A similar situation happened to Mr Fantastic a few years back when he was trapped in Dr. Doom's armor. He meant the best, but came off as villainous trying to improve the world.

I guess you could say it all goes back to "power corrupts, absolute power corrupts absolutely."

Favorite Heroes (in no particular order)

1. Captain Marvel (read and loved Starlin's work on Mar-Vell in the 70's)

2. Adam Warlock (ditto above)

3. Sentry. He's cool. I wish they'd ditch the mullet, though.

4. Iron-Man: I have discovered a tidal wave of new-found respect for Tony Stark. He rocks.

5. The Vision. Dunno' why. I just always liked him.

Least-favorite Heroes:

1. Wolverine. I despise this annoying, over-exposed, over-rated jackass with a passion.

2. Spiderman. ....zzzzzzzzzzzz....he bores me. Always has.

3. Daredevil. I used to like him, way back when, but the "grim-n-gritty" DD that's been the standard for the character since Frank Miller has become a cliche.

4. Deadpool. Like all LIefeld creations, a total swipe-job. Deadpool is Spidey + Deathstroke = suck. Unbelievable that DC never sued over this character (Wade Wilson vs. Slade Wilson??)

5. Captain America. Marvel turned a once-great character into a left-leaning wussy. I'm glad he's dead.
