I'm very impressed that this guy actually has them. I wouldn't in my right mind buy those. But it'd be very cool to own those.

Curious

Curious indeed.

This guy seems to really be marketing to people who have bad eyes and dont read so good. @hmmm@

I thought the AFA never graded anything below 80 or 85...these are graded at 60 and 70.

But hot damn that Psylocke is so awesome. Do I need to even say that I hope they release this version of her en masse at some point?

Not to mention the $110.00 for shipping.....

Someone should report him for that ebay has rules on that sort of thing :)

WOuld be nice if these did come out in force though! I wonder if any of that crap he spouts in the auction is true or not...

would anybody really care to have them for that price?

and I love the question at the bottom of the page:

"Q: If we agree to meet you in New York, can we meet somewhere private? And would I be able to pay you then? Mar-08-07

A: Nope. It would be in Front of a Police Station in Brooklyn. You can Pay me Then at that Location. Not an option.

Well, I believe that this auction is true.  This guy had sold a couple of rare stuff on Ebay before.

Seriously, if I were rich enough to spend $2500 on my hobbies, I would get those high quality Bowen and Hard Hero statues instead of action-figures! :P

By the way, the Question and Answer section of this auction is funny to read.  I think this guy is afraid of being robbed by action-figure maniacs... You know, police station is safe! @loll@ @loll@ @loll@

Yes...the stupid person who's gonna pay for the figures would care!!! :P

Ha, you beat me to mention about the Q&A... :)

True or false, heard that is Jesse Falcon's eBay account?!?!? Would that explain how this guy gets all the rare figures?!?!

Damn..those are nice...But f that $2500?? Why is he asking $110 for shipping?? For that price he better take a flight to my house and drop it off...

He probably was Brians toys co-owner going on his own...$2500 for non mint figs...

The asking price is high, but for such rare pieces I guess it's par for the course. But I'm with everyone else...the $110 shipping charge on top of that is just being one greedy SOB!

If the ML collectors market suddenly crashed these probably wouldn't be worth the plastic they're made out of, so it would be risky for anyone to pay that much for these figs...not to mention a bit insane!

I hope he gets stuck holding onto these figs for a long time. I imagine the insert fees on an auction that high priced can't be cheap, I hope he gets nailed having to keep paying the ebay fees to list them and NOBODY buys them.

Somehow though, I think SOMEBODY is crazy enough to buy them at that price.

What a tool. My eyes still burn from reading his jacked-up, rainbow-colored word laden description. I'll be watching to see who's crazy enought to buy them. Also, it's funny that someone else thought of the Jesse Falcon connection. Funny indeed...

does anybody really believe that hasbro will not release every possible repaint/variant possible including this one. They are the king of using old molds and if you ask me there couldn't be a better line for it.

seriously I would not be surprised if hasbro puts out blue wasp, black psylocke, silver luke cage, and modern Havok. if they have the molds they will use them.

I'm not surprised they came out.... , I agree with the idea that maybe kb or tru might have gotten a hidden case somewhere....

But this whole ebay thing kills the urge to finish collecting the whole ML Toybiz line at those insane prices :(

Honestly, this is nuts, and I'll tell you why these will start showing up real soon in larger numbers than one case each (and if anyone else here works in manufacturing, please back me up).

The manufacturing process is expensive. Breakdown and set-up times on the manufacturing line cost money, not only in parts but in actual labor. The employees are idle for a set period of time, but still being paid. For this reason, manufacturers hate disruptions in "the line."

Therefore, I have a REAL hard time believing that they would discontinue production on these variants after making 1 case worth of figures. It's simply not cost-efficient from a manufacturing standpoint. More likely, TOY-BIZ would want to recoup the loss of the license by making as many as possible, and shipping them as soon as possible.

We were told that these were effectively "dead". Now it turns out, per this guy on E-Bay with his mysterious "source" in Hong-Kong that they made 1 case (?!?!?!). Sorry, but it doesn't ad up.

If this guy can make $2,500 for these, more power to him, but "Ex caveat emptor!" ("To the buyer, beware!")
