Master Collector has pics of New 25th Ann. Figures

VH, it is rather lame to pass judgment on the pics until you've seen 'em. Doesn't matter how well they're described. I think there's an old saying about how many words a picture is worth...

I still disagree. It's what we DO here.

For someone to tell me that they SAW the pics of Flint at MC, and that Flint has the same body mold as Duke, I know I dislike that already. I don't have to see it to tell you that.

Doesn't seem like such a big deal, or anything "lame" to know I don't like a RE-USE for one of my favorite characters.

Now having explained that,

I will give SOME compliments on the paint scheme on Flint, as I think (when compared to the artwork) it matches up very well, despite the use of Dukes body, and they did add some gloves.

I very well COULD end up giving this figure a BETTER rating once in hand, but at this juncture, I'm not impressed.

It's just the way it works in this hobby.

Someone said that these WILL be 4'' after all. Where did you get that info from, Lee's article? Sure hope they ain't 4''... cuz that's what's gonna kill the line. Changes in scale have never been good for any on-going and successful toy line. It's been tried for GiJoe as well (closest example would be Sgt. Savage). Hasbro... be careful.

It's stated right in the article. 4" @grumpy@

I know one thing, the neck look like he's a weakling!! I think he might be too lanky!!

You can tell the artwork of Flint came from the 80's, when bodybuilding and MUSCLES were cool!

Now they just look like computer geeks.

Give some rugged muscle men, like they use to be!

Woo-hoo!! Now I was good...I waited until I saw the pics before I made a judgement call. And all I can say is OH YEAH BABY!! I really, REALLY didn't like the sound of Flint being made from Duke's parts, but after seeing him, I love it. I just hope they give him cammo on his pants...

Love Snake-Eyes. LOVE that Cobra Commander, love the Cobra Officer, and...I am just so suprised by the Storm Shadow. That was just such an unexpected choice for this line. I am pleasantly suprised since I love that version. Wow.

I just keep getting more and more excited about this line.

I don't mind if they're slighty bigger than 3 3/4, larger will allow for for more detail. I would prefer the normal size, but since these are going to be displayed mosc for me, it's not that big a deal. I'm looking forward to seeing them in the package.

The last time we got CC and his wind-blown hood...

I had to play with him THIS way...

Big question, is this Cobra Stormy or is he already switching sides!!

This is the GI Joe team version of Storm Shadow. Makes sense they would release this version of him too, as there are alot of fans that prefered him as a Joe, than as a member of Cobra. The Hooded Cobra Commander would have been an interesting choice to be a mail away offer figure, since the original version of that figure was.

Saw the pics and kind of let down. Flint is better than I thought but no camo on the pants is a BIG tick off, not to mention the smaller details......... SE v2, once again disappointed....... no arrow on his right wrist is a big trademark gone, and I liked the legs on V2 and these are two different. CC is great! CO is great too! SS surprisnigly works for the most part. I think I like him more than some of teh previous 10 we saw. :) But then again I am very partial to SS as a Joe!! :D

man those look to be some pretty good figures in my opinion

Cobra Officer- is the trooper with some mods and the trooper was superb so no problems there

SE v2- it isn't exactly the same but it looks realistic and it conveys what its supposed to convey

CC v2- I like the darker, richer blue and the hood isn't windswept enough for me to complain to much

Flint- I'm not a FLint fan agt all but I must say that the fig looks pretty good, the neck is a tad scrawny compared to the rest of his body though

SS v2- Its his Joe version and I have no problem with that because that just adds more versatility to him and the overall figure I can't complain on

a few small gripes here and there but nothing to serious now we have 10 more to go (for now anyway) come on BEACHHEAD
