That Superman figure actually looks pretty cool~ I like the cape.

I do agree that Bizarro looks more like Hulk than himself.......

Belt buckle's fine with me. I really like it.

I hate the idea of the "S" belt buckle. Its kind of redundant. Besides, I cant stand Superman Returns. I remember DiDio promising up and down that the comics wouldnt reflect the movies. Then Pete Woods drew the 'raised S' on his costume...I dunno, dude.

Im not trying to hate on it, but....

This is not directed at you at all Nightwng1, so please do not take offence, that is not my intention.

I'm curious why some people dislike the belt buckle 'S' because it seems redundant, yet some people complain that the yellow 'S' sometimes isn't on the back of the cape of a fugure? Couldn't the 'S' on the cape be considered redundant too?

I think the reason ppl complain is that the belt is a new trend. Superman is such an iconic character and l assume ppl freak out everytime his costume design changes drastically, hence why ppl complain about the lack of the S on his cape. I mean someone just mentioned the raise S shield on his chest. i would not be suprised if superman starts sporting a beard, ppl will rant about it. Another possibility, a custom s b. buckle may seem a bit flashy for an old fashion superhero.

Maybe ppl rant about the missing s on his back since they can't tell it is superman from the back w/o it. LOL

No worries, dude. I dont take offense to it. :)

As for my opinion...I just think the S on the chest and on the cape are perfect. They always have been perfect just the way they are. Quite honestly, and I dont want anyone getting pissed at me for saying this, I cant stand it when something in the movies affects the comics. Hollywood shouldnt have more power over the comics when it comes to character direction or appearance.

Again, just my opinion

I like Superman, I might get him...I like Zod but I'll pass on him. I for one don't care about the minor costume changes. No biggie to me.

But HOW MANY ZODS ARE THERE?WHICH ONE IS THE "REAL" ZOD?

So now who is the "Phantom" Zod from Lee and Azzarello's "For Tommorrow" storyline? Another fake Zod?

Is DC going to blame this one on Superboy-Prime pounding on the wall and changing reality?

Agreed, since comics are the true origins of most characters to begin with. Hollywood though has the ability to reach a much wider audience. So, technically, shouldn't we be angry with the comic artists for adapting there styles to what Hollywood has produced?

I LOVE Zod and Ursa! Awesome. I wonder why DC Direct is only doing 4 figures at a time now? They were doing 5-6 per shipment. If they were doing 5 would they add Non?

On another note, whatever happened to the Jim Lee Superman figures? There was supposed to be Equus and Lois Lane and Mr. Orr (and others...Superman, I assume and Wonder Woman?). I seem to recall reading about these, but maybe I'm just imagining it?

I think the changes to Superman in Action Comics are a breath of Fresh air, the same way the costume in SR was(IMO).

The essential pieces are there, but a couple of tweaks here and there don't hurt.

Look at Batman, everone complained when the yellow disk was dropped. Now nobody seems to mind. Each artist brings a different piece to the character they work on. Batman had that gold shiny Utility Belt for a while, then when Jim worked on Batman he went back to the military type belt, and that's the standard for now.

Same thing with Supe's cape...some artists put the Yellow Sheild on the back, some don't.

Basically just enjoy, cause when the artist is done on the run he's on, you'll probly get what you want, the classic look.

I think the figures and the art in Action are FANTASIC!

The bat-symbol without the yellow was accepted, as far as I remember, because that was already in the comics. It was just a return to the classic look. As for the belt, that wasnt done in Hush. That was done in No Mans Land. Way before Jim Lee's run on Batman.

What annoys me about things like changing it to a movie look is that its an editorial decision to make the transition easy for the movie goers looking to read comics. In case any of you forgot, Joe Quesada has admitted that, at least on Marvel's decisions to do that.
