)----MY SON---ZANDER WHO IS 2 YEARS OLD HAD BRAIN SURGERY ON TUESDAY---BEEN KINDA STRESSFULL FOR THE PAST 2 WEEKS

 

 

------LONG STORY-----HERES THE SHORT VERSION--------

 

 

ABOUT 6 MONTHS AGO MY TWO BOYS ----ONE IS 5 NOW AND ONE IS 2 NOW ----WERE PLAYING BY MY

 

WEIGHT SET---WELL THEY ARE BOTH MONKEYS---ALMOST ANYWAYS ---BOYS WILL BE BOYS-----THEY

 

CLIMBED UP ON THE BENCH AND WERE MESSN AROUND ---THE 2 YEAR OLD FELL OFF---ABOUT A 18 INCH

 

DROP ON TO HIS HEAD-----A LITTLE CRYING AND SUCH BUT HE WASNT ACTING RIGHT----BEING THE

 

FORMER ARMY MEDIC ---WE TOOK HIM RIGHT UP TO ER----THEY DID A CT SCAN AND SAID THAT HE HAD

 

HYDRO CEPHLUS----(NOT GOOD)-------THAT WATER ON THE BRAIN --------SO WE DECIDED MY WIFE AND I

 

TO TAKE HIM TO THE UNIVERSITY OF MICHIGAN CHILDRENS HOSPITAL FOR AN EVAL.-------THEY DID A MRI

 

AND FOUND THAT HE HAD A SUPERSELLULAR ARACINOID CYST RIGHT IN THE CENTER OF HIS BRAIN -----

 

(ALSO NOT GOOD)----BUT IT WASNT HYDROCEPHLUS----BUT STILL NOT GOOD----------

 

 

BASICALLY THE CYST WAS PRESSING ON HIS OPTICAL NERVES AND ON HIS THALUMUS AND HIS

 

HYPOTHALUMUS-----WHICH COULD CAUSE 1. BLINDNESS OR 2. FISH EYES 3. HE COULD GO IN TO PUBERTY

 

AT AGE 2 OR 3 AND 4. HE COULD HAVE A HUGE GROW SPURT BE LIKE 3 YEARS OLD AND BE 5 FOOT TALL AND NEVER GROW AGAIN ------

 

SO HE HAD SURGERY --------A SMALL HOLE IN THE TOP OF HIS HEAD WAS DRILLED AND THEY WENT IN

 

AND POKED THE CYST ---IT DRAINED AND HOPEFULLY NEVER COMES BACK--------

 

HE CAME HOME 24 HOURS AFTER THE SURGERY ---BECUASE HE WAS ACTING SO GOOD ----BUT I STILL

 

HAVE A SICK LITTLE GUY ON MY HANDS RIGHT NOW----

 

HES BASICALLY FINE THOUGH ------JUST A LITTLE GROGGY FROM BEING --AS ONEREALLY CUTE NURSE SAID-

PRETENDING TO BE MY SON " IM FINE MOMMY AND DADDY IM JUST STWUNG OUT ON MOOFEENE"

NO PROBLEMS OTHER THAN THAT --------

 

 

 

 

SO IF YA DONT SEE ME ON HERE FOR A MINUTE -------BETWEEN WORK AND HIM THATS WHAT IM DOING

 

I STILL PLAN ON DOING THE CUSTOM CONTEST ------I CANT NOT BE NORMAL STILL HAVE TO STAY BUSY SOME WHAT ------BUT I MAY NOT BE ON HERE MUCH IN THE NEXT COUPLE WEEKS

 

 

I KNOW I SEEN ALOT OF SICK KIDS THIS WEEK THOUGH ---MADE ME FEEL LUCKY AND SAD AT THE SAME TIME-----THE PARENTS LOOK LIKE ZOMBIES----BASICALLY LIVING AT THE HOSPITAL -----NOT KNOWING WHEN THEY ARE LEAVING ------I TRIED NOT TO LOOK ANY OF THEM IN THE FACE TODAY WHEN MY SON WAS LEAVING ------I SPENT 36-48 HOURS UP THERE AND WAS GOING CRAZY --I CANT EVEN IMAGINE WHAT SOME OF THEM ARE GOING THROUGH

 

MAKES ME TAKE A STEP BACK THOUGH ----BE THANK FUL THAT I HAVE MY 3 ---MOSTLY HEALTHY KIDS ---AND A BEUTIFUL WIFE AND MY OWN HEALTH -------

 

IT ALSO MADE ME THINK ABOUT HOW ----FRAGILE LIFE IS -----AND HOW QUICKLY IT COULD BE TAKEN AWAY -------IF YA CARE ABOUT SOME OR LOVE THEM -----TELL THEM NOW----NOT LATER ----NOW
