Revoltech Optimus Prime

:) :) I have the Magnus version and love it. The Revoltech Prime/Magnus is good for a reminiscence of the DW PatLee Magnus/Prime drawing era.

Do I really recommend it?

No - If you have never seen or read any of the DW comic book.

No - If you alread you have the Mega SCF of Prime.

Yes - If you love articulation.

Yes - For reminiscent of the DW Comic era.

The Revoltech version is only half a head taller than the regular Mega SCF version. They are small.

About these so called revolutionary "Revoltech joints," how do they work? I only see Revoltech figures posed in extreme action poses. Can they stand in a static pose and look normal or do their joints prevent this? I do have the SCF Prime figure, but I wasn't 100% satisfied with the articulation. It wasn't really Marvel Legends or even RAH Joes posable. I guess I was asking too much.

:) :) They can pose in a normal manner just like the Mega SCF. The only slight different is that you won't get that pefect army attention standing style. The shoulder joint is fat and designed to be positioned at a 45 degree. Therefore, the whole arm will never be perpendicular to the ground since it's in an angle. Meaning, his whole arm is always open outward, cannot be close and parallel to the body like the Mega SCF. Not sure if I explain it right.

See my signature on UMagnus, that's how the shoulder/arm is like.

True...not transforming. I don't have the OP one..but I got one of the earlier revoltech figures (Dougram) and it's really nice. Kind of on the small side, and a bit pricey, but the joints are nice for holding poses. They're clicky, but the figures, as mentioned before, are usually sculpted to stand in a certain manner (though still highly poseable).
