<<I like the red strip around the gloves-shouldn't the pants have a red stripe on the outseide as well? >>

You're right. I didn't notice that. May be what is making me think he seems too blue. Though it's possible he does have them. Just the way he is standing you can't see.

Is it just me or does Cobra Commander's isignia look like it's been superimposed over the figure?

Something's been bugging me about these new figures.

Are we 100% sure these are in 3 3/4 scale? Has it been officially said? I though we were just told that we were getting the most articulated figures ever. The more I look at these, the more they look like 6" ML's, and less like the 3 3/4. That would also explain the estimated price of $7.99-$9.99 a figure that I saw being mentioned on the boards earlier.

Hopefully, there is some sort of official statement saying that they're the small Joes, and I just haven't seen it yet.

They are indeed 3 3/4" scale.

The photos are LIKELY 2-up painted prototypes, about 6-8" tall-used at that size so they take better pics.

They'd actually be Marvel Legends scale, or close to it, in those photos, ut that actual figures will be 3 3/4".

If I remember right, Marvel Legends scale is a bit larger (not much) than 3/4 inch which leads me to think they may not blend into my collection well. Could anybody shoot of a marvel fig compared next to a Joe fig?

These new figures are not supposed to be the same size as Marvel Legends. They are roumered to be 3 3/4" and from everything we have been hearing I am pretty sure that is true.

And just FYI Marvel Legends are 6". They are not anywhere close to being in scale with Joes.

I really hope Hasbro is able to give us the same level of detail and quality in the figures that are actually released. I'm assuming these are proto-types. They are great and I'm really, really looking forward to snagging each and everyone of these. Except for the Cobra Trooper. I'll be army building those bad boys.

I really hope there's a VAMP and Clutch planned for this.

What do you guys think of the double knee articulation and the upper body articulation?

Not happy with it.....in theory!

Having one to play with and pose it, in various stances will be the ultimate test of whether I like this articulation style for my Joes.

Looks alone? Don't care for it.

Amen my brother. I was happy with no articulation below the knee period, with just a simple hinged knee-joint at that. But I do like the chest articulation. Now I'm all for that. I loved it on the Saga Obi-Wan and think it's a no-brainer for Joes.

What do you guys think of the no O-Ring thing ?

A real tragedy! @grumpy@

People can make all the sorry excuses they want against it, and claim another form is better, but the O-ring is still the BEST (IMO...you can certainly disagree all anyone wants, and then kiss my hairy butt) construction for the 3 3/4" action figures, namely G.I.Joe! #US1#

I must be thinking of another series. I picked up a Punisher fig to add to the "Plague 6 Pack" and he is slightly taller than the new scuplt joe figs. Either way, these new figs are pretty cool..

You're thinking of Marvel Legends Showdown, which is a game with possible figures (including the Punisher) at an @4" scale based on the larger Marvel Legends.

in reference to the new DUKE..

he looks like the original but without the stupid grin

Mannnnn...I LIKE that "stupid" ol grin! ^_^

I wish Hasbro wouldn't be so skiddish in giving the figures a tad more personality in their facial detail. Scowls, grins, smirks...I LOVE'em!

Deer in the headlight, zombie-fied look, doesn't cut it for me.

Duke is a HERO, a LEADER and HAPPY to be as much. He's confident in his role and has no problem putting on a happy face GRIN/smirk to reveal as much.

Even the S6 figures have a few cool facial details, with Firefly being one of the few that stands out to me. :)

does his torso bother anyone else?? i mean why the second belt and belt loops. it looks like he has his pants pulled up above his belly button like an old man.

The whole thing looks funky to me. Not the best figure of the bunch, that's for sure, and too many questions on the waist looking to lack ANY articulation.

Prototype mock-up? Not what the actual figures will look like upon mass production for retail? Maybe....but going by the picture here, it looks funky.

I'm sure it's to look like the original figure and art.

Because the orginal 1982 mail away figure had that 2nd belt.

His helmet looks removable.

I don't see them doing that for Cobra Commander. Plus it would be hard to a removable mask on such a small figure (at least I think it would be), though the helmet would be easy.

I figure the mask would be attached to the helmet and it'd all be one piece that comes off and on.

You know what else I just noticed? The Cobra Trooper is missing his flare gun from his web gear, but there is a small peg where it should be like there is a gun that could be plugged on there that isn't in the picture.
