For those with a complete v1 with no yellowing, the trash is

The trash is picky...

careful what you wish for.. there's a guy here that likes to send trash to people ;)

I seem to be the ONLY guy here griping on this figure, and people are throwing the whole damn lot of us under the bus.

I hate THIS figure, have expressed as much...

and suddenly it's "RAH IS DEAD....GET OVER IT!!" @grumpy@

Almost like it's a scripted response to ANY negativity expressed towards the 25th anniversary figures.

Because it's DIFFERENT...doesn't make it automatically good, at least not to me. I don't want RAH carbon copies pooped out with slight paint variances on them, been there, and done all that.

I do want something new and better, but this ain't it...as far as I can tell so far.

Just curious, but what would be "new and better" by YOUR definition.

Personally, I'm not all "best figure ever!" myself. There is just too much we DON'T know yet.

Let me correct myself. I didn't mean to say Rah was done, its not done but theyre not making anymore of them . lol I'm just gonna stay out of this thing, people get mad too easy on this thing. Everyone who knows me, I've had enough of that, lol.

you expressed your dislike for this figure before you ever saw it based on its proposed concept which strayed from RAH construction, so you don't get to now pretend as if your dislike for it is based on some objective evaluation of the actual product itself and are open to something new and better when it is clear you aren't.

Very awesome indeed, great job Dwight! When I first got the email immediately I rushed to the site and just starred for a min lol. This is a great time to be a collector and a FAN. WOW, I cannot wait until they post another one tomorrow. The convention is going to be off the hook and only one could imagine what GIJCC has in store for us with the release of these figures, I am still thinking that they will be RAH molds for the convention set but perhaps the giveaway figure will like the new molds coming out. Also, I remember at thr 40th anniversary at Disney World, we all got a convention comic 3- pack, imagine the possibilities that the club could be working on.

I dig the look. I, however, love the o-ring... Having a crotch that looks like it'll work (ball joints inside it?) reminds me of a diaper crotch but able to bend and flex.

For a severly touched up picture, I wet myself. For the real thing, probably'll do the same thing.

I am glad they're doin' this, although I never really did enjoy the extra articulation on the figures. Makes me wonder what the Con sets'll be... Wonder if Hasbro'll make exclusive 25th Anniversary vehicles!

Well, it was also the scripted response to any negativty expressed towards the "new sculpts" of the past years.

Nothing like geeks gettin' worked up. @smilepunch@

Besides, the possible success of these may lead to the return of RAH mold comic packs for all anyone knows.

I havent read this entire thread. but just looking at the pic, man that storm shadow looks good! that said for me at least he looks like he could fall apart at any second! im a die hard ARAH fan, i gave up on hasbro producing any quality new sculpted figures along time ago....

looks good, probable constuction problems ie low quality plastic, joints that dont mesh well together.

depending on the packaging and the quality of the paint apps "i will buy these figures" to keep MOC

WOW!!! I can not believe the people that do not get what Hasbro is doing here. It is simple!! They are following the very popular lead tha tthe VOTC line made for STAR WARS...They are honoring the anniversary and History of Gi Joe.

This initial line will consist of our favorite Vintage characters re-done in the best style possible. The line serves two purposes. It gives us old timers figures to buy for the memories and it allows new fans to join into the line with relative ease. It will also prove to the naysaying retailers that the 3 3/4" Joes sell.

Who cares if the figures have o-rings? Not everyone customizes and 90% of those who do, shouldn't. I am glad we won't see photos simple head swaps and 20 posts about how amazing the custom is. It's like American Idol..Most of the people can't sing but think they can because nobody was honest with them earlier in life.

The really good customizers will find plenty of ways to customize these. They seem to have no problem customizing other figure lines and we all know that other lines don't have o-rings.

It is the same each time Hasbro tries something with Joe. It brings about crying and insults. It's as if some people think Hasbro is making this line for them alone. So, PLEASE don't buy these if you don't like them..Sigma 6 has created a whole new slew of Joe Fans who actually like the Characters for what they are and will buy these in mass. So, the less the haters buy, the better for us all. However, I know each of the detractors will buy at least one of these figures. I guarantee it!

When the SW VOTC collection came out, A Ton of you guys stated that the should do this with Gi Joe...Well, here it is. I'm glad, The figure and line-up are AMAZING!

We all know that Gi Joe Attacktix are next. That is also a good thing!

As far as the people that have made comments about this being SHS-articulation, I'm going to have to say it more than likely isn't. Now unless it just happens to be some sort of shading and angle of the sculpt. it looks like Stormy's shoulder has the injection-molded joint that the later VvV figures had. The only thing I'm really concerned about is the mid-forearm swivel, it looks to separate the lower arm from the upper portion of the forearm, a little bit of a gap. Hopefully that's fixed, or the joint's at least tight and wont pop off every time you try to pose him.

Storm Shadow looks nice. Not sure how the lack of the o-ring will affect him, but I won't know that for myself until I actually fiddle with the figures. I'm also not really thrilled about the double knee joint, but then again the only 'new' addition to Joe leg construction I've liked has been the rotating joint at the ankle (like Spy Troops Recondo has). More articulation is nice, but IMO you CAN have too much of a good thing.

It will be nice to have 3.75" Joes on store shelves everywhere again, especially if it hits againts the Transformers movie product (which doesn't look that great IMO, but I would love more of their Classics line).

think of the budget they have for these fella's, i highly doubt this will end after 25.

25 different figures, with at least 150 different signature weapons.

AND thank god they are not using any old pieces.. all new ones!!!!!

Yes Serpentor is one that should be included... even tho he led us to Cobra-La and the Deth of Teh Line.

i hope we see a viper in there.

and FYI

a 5 pack wont happen, packs are only created using exsisting molds, and trying to get money back on

Molds that can be repainted or slightly re-tooled. they will be single carded.

i think Hasbro has finally done the right thing, a complete re-launch using the Idea Star wars VOTC had.

new Highly detailed figures with new , more respectful articulation, old school uniforms and a vintage feel.

im hating on Rah cuz im so sick and tired of hearing every few years that nothing compares to "RAH"

well guess what thats right... becuase it was twenty frikin years ago.. you :RAH: guys are like nerds who got dumped by thier first girlfriend, and aont washed your hand she held. Do we need to make a new forum just for you?

so you can complain and grip about new things, and remember how things were "back when"? becuase seriosuly its ont thing to be negetive once in a while.. but every damn time a new line comes out its wah i love rah, way hasbro sucks

wah i wiswh it was 1986 again.. WAH WAH WAH WAH!

after 7 different line changes, im going to head say.. yah its getting annoying hearing about how the "RAH" fans are never happy... well i hope hasbro's next invention is a time machine.. you can send your self back to what you love so much, and let the rest of us enjoy progression in peace and less negitivity...

RAH fans = Pessimists.

I believe I expressed my dislike of the idea that these were going to be without the O-ring construction, and my dislike of Hasbro constantly trying to mangle up the scale with too much articulation, to be like marvel Legends.

So being RIGHT, means I'm no longer entitled to comment on the figure now?

I'm arguing against the silly assertion of this being about a desire (of mine) to have everything EXACTLY like it was in 1985 and being unwilling to except anything NEW and "improved". I've already posted my comments on how I liked the newer injection molding features, posted a picture of the major barrage figure as an example of a NEW design I really liked, yet the ridiculous "RAH is DEAD" chants still flood the responses, when defending against my dislike of the looks of this Storm Shadow figure.

You can pyschoanalyze all you want here professor.....I know what I like and what I don't and it's all part of the process to express it here, for better or worse, good or bad and without YOUR permission to (or not to) do so.

"you don't get to now pretend as if your dislike for it is based on some objective evaluation of the actual product itself
