there is a thread called Buyers Beware on here...

that talks about them

there isn't a whole lot to say, Hawkgirl, is probably going to have to have a better setup for her wings, mid-night isn't very good, according to the manager of my comic shop. and my Atom two pack, the original style one's arm broke off.

Haven't heard anything about terrific or Hourman, I am hoping they are good though....

Judging by the proto pics, I'd say Mr. Terrific looks to be my fave, so I'd like to get him soon.

Picked up the whole wave. I dig the line alot. The only reason i got that stupid Atom pack is cause i got 30 dollers cut when i bought a case. Aside from that, the figures are really really cool. I've been waiting for this Hawkgirl figure ever since i got the silver age one.

That Golden Age atom is truely laughable. It may be the stupidest thing I've ever had to buy in order to get something else and do you know how many stupid Marvel Legends i had to buy to build some of the cool build-a figures? Like the whole Modok wave... anyways... JSA...

The line is really cool in my oppinion, a little shoddy on quality control though. Great sculpts, even Terrific and Hourman who look kinda funky are still good sculpts. Hawkgirl is the best in the line and probably Sam Greenwell's best sculpt ever.

I like the other 4 a lot. good stuff.

Got 'em all minus Atom. Hourman and Mr. Terrific are great from the waist up. Their legs are ridiculous. I'm fairly impressed with Hawkgirl and Dr. Midnite, and lucky enough not to have experienced the common problems that were reported...for once.

I loved the atoms I got.... of course, I will go after any figure that is on the list of the Golden age JSA.

I have to actually hunt though, 'cause you can't find most of them anymore....

The Atom was awesome. Really good, in my opinion, the best of the three I saw.

I bought them all, opened them all and like them all. I agree with the comment about Hourman's and Terrific's legs...something's weird about them. My personal excitement about collecting is when a company makes a character that has NEVER been made as a toy before. This was the first Mr. Terrific, the first Kendra Hawkgirl, the first Pieter Dr. Mid-nite, the first Rick Tyler Hourman, and the second/third Golden Age Atom figure (He was also made as a Pocket Hero previously). Anyway, I opened them all and they are all on display with my other JSA action figures. Very cool.

Ok... am I high? WHY is the original Atom so tiny? I know he's supposed to be a small weakling... but he's just completley off scale! Its not like his power is to change size! It broke my heart.. I was really looking forward to him. :-( The rest of the wave is OK. The Kendra figure is my fave. And Mr Terrific is pretty groovy to0. YAYE for accessories!!!!

So I snagged Hourman and Dr Mid-Nite today. I have to say, Im really impressed from the waist up, like everyone says. Took awhile to give Mid-Nite a good pose, but it worked, and the cape keeps him up nicely.

Hourman's legs remind me of a Total Justice figure (I think GL), but its not bad. A friend of mine says the intensity of the pose given to him reminds him of Triple H.

All in all, pretty good stuff!!

Just got my Hawkgirl figure today. Nice figure horrible wing design. When I buy figures like this I don't want to have to assemble them. Especially if the holes are to small to accomodate the ball joints. I'll have to get some glue to make repairs just to really display the figure, and perhaps get another one and make a slight correction to it with my dremmel. Hopefully if they ever get around to doing the JL TAS Hawkgirl they get it right.

I heated Hawkgirl's back with a hair dryer and didn't heat the wings. That made the holes soft and it was easy to put the wings in her back. I then let her sit for several hours before touching the wings. Now they are in nice and tight and are easy to pose.
