I've been gathering parts for Falcon for over the last few years. I luckily found the head with the right look I wanted when I bought a WWII BBI fighter I had wanted for years.

Alot of part combinations didn't look right and I ended up switching the upper legs after I had the entire figure put togeather.

I had originally wanted to give Falcon a more modernized look (like the Duke figure I did)but Falcon is kind of like Hawk in that I think he has a rather iconic look. So I decided to just add a few things here and there. His shirt has a flap on it, instead of the old seem, plus I gave him a pair of worn half gloves that I thought looked pretty cool

I had also debated if I wanted to give him the longer shirt with his belt over it or have it tucked into his pants (as he appeared in the Devils Due comic). I decided to go with the original look for two reason-I though it looked better and also I had wanted to try sculpting an entire waist piece.

The waist piece is entirel sculpted and elongated from the belt down.

Parts:

Head, hands (modded)-BBI WWII fighter plan figure and WWII infantry

Chest-JvsC Torpedo

Upper Arms-DTC Footloose

Lower Arms-JvsC Duke

Waist-JvsC Gung Ho (heavily modified)

Uppler Legs-VvsV Duke

Lower Legs-Crosshair

Beret-JvsC Stalker dremeled out

Backpack-RAH Falcon

antenae-figure twisty-tie

Now THERE'S one fine, RESPECTABLE, military themed action figure, for a wholesome, all AMERICAN young man to collect and play with, under the name G.I.JOE! #US1#

Great job and the head sculpt is perfect. Good choice, good eye!

Thanks everyone, I'm glad you like how the figure turned out. I was surpirsed the beret turned out as nicely as it did. Unfortunatley I went through it with my dremel so I needed to use some fixit epoxy but it smoothed it over so well it wasn't visible. I've been working on him for awhile and I felt there wasn't anything else to add or finish so it seemed like the time to post him up.

I do plan on casting him up and offering him for sale at some point down the road. Interestingly enough some kind gentleman here at TNI "informed" Hasbro about "The Hero" figure in hopes of squashing making it available to everyone, instead I found out there are a few fans over there.

Thanks again everyone

Wow.. tha's pretty sweet.. sucks about the Hero, is he still coming? At least you got some new Hasbro fans out of the deal, lol

Yeah it was funny how that works out. You never know who may be a fan of something your doing. I definatley liked what Hasbro was doing with much of the DST waves, just ended up being a little too late sadly.

That is sad that someone would hate like that! People will be people!

Spc Airborne

Yeah that would be nice, but I honestly don't see that happening. I think it's sad but it just seems to me that Hasbro refuses to move ahead with the times. Alot of times they come close but they just don't push their stuff up that extra notch which would make it outstanding for kids and adults. When asked why they fall back on the " we make toys for children", but children like quality too. Children also liked Marvel Legends so that comment really doesn't hold much water.

Thanks I'll have the head available for purchase at some point. I'm just about to get into the entire casting aspect of this hobby myself. Good to Go will still be doing the main stuff, but I'll cast small stuff here and there. As far as the person who informed Hasbro, the majority of people are cool, but their are always appeasers in life, but even appeasers think they are doing the right thing.

Thanks again everyone, I'll have a climate specific figure coming up in the next round to usher in the nice cold weather.
