I was searching my local Walmart for Marvel Legends tonight (picked up Iron Fist), and saw a little number I haven't seen in a long time.

Picture this: Spider-Man 2099 package complete with Hobgoblin arm, flame sword, pumpkin bomb . . . and an ASM 2 Movie Spider-Man.

I don't know who I'm more disgusted at, the thieving POS who repackaged the thing, the Gomer at the Return Desk who accepted it despite the big shiny picture of the figure that's supposed to be in the package, or ME for taking part in a hobby that involves such idiocy on both sides of the fence.

I feel the same way.....at my local Walmart there's an as$hat who's been scamming them for years....he hits certain targets around here as well but I know his work....haha I'm a repack forensics expert now......he always repacks both items....it's always older crappier Marvel Legends figs w/older BAF parts....I don't know if the guy works there or what cause his repacking is crappy at best....its a broken record problem but it aggravates me every time I see it....

I'm really surprised I don't see more of this in my area. These ML packages are begging scammers to repack them with an old POS figure, seal them back up to look like brand new, and return them to the store to essentially get a new ML for free.

I've said this multiple times, however, I'll almost never blame the returns employee. It's obvious to us because we know the hobby, but there's multiple reasons why this may have gotten past them. Trust me, I've worked Home Depot returns for 12 years. I could tell you all kinds of stories.

You're right on both counts. These new collector friendly packages are gorgeous, but make the job of the repackager a lot easier.

I was also out of line about the return desk clerk. I have my own horror stories from cashiering at Target during the Christmas season back in the day. I don't even wanna think how bad the return clerks had it.

I had cashier coworkers who dreaded being put at returns. I loved it. Catching scams and turning them away was the only thing that made that boring job interesting. I don't want to brag but it got to where I could spot a scammer before he/she even got to my register to tell me their bogus story :D and management backed me up a good 90% of the time. I actually have a lot of good returns memories.

I just picked up the new avengers hulk figure and I gotta say that i'm a bit disappointed with it. the plastic they use sucks. it's a soft plastic that bends too easily. if a knee or elbow are bent or torqued any way for a period of time, this soft plastic tends to retain a bend. for example, my hulk is bowlegged from the way it was placed in the package. I've heated up the knees, reshaped and cooled, but there is still a light bend. also the hip joins don't offer much, sure he can stand up and move around a little, but forget about trying to get any cool squatting poses of him. he just feels soft and cheep in hand. they need to use a slightly firmer plastic.

Picked up Batroc at Target yesterday. This completes my Thanos figure. Now all I need are Hellcat and Machine Man to finish up the waves, then I can concentrate on finding the Spider-Man series (get the feeling I'll end up having to order a case).

Yeah, I've given up on finding the Hobgoblin wave in brick-'n-mortar land. Don't really wanna buy a case all at once though, so I split the difference. I just ordered Spidey Classic, Spidey 2099, and Daredevil off Amazon.

At 61.04 and free shipping, I'm still getting off a couple of bucks per figure easier than at retail. Plus I won't have to burn go-go juice driving all over God's Green Earth trying to track them down.

Anti-Venom, Spider-Girl, and Ultimate Spider-Woman arrived today. That completes my Hobgoblin wave.

Best of all, I got the entire wave cheaper than I would have from retail, HTS OR BBTS.

If its gonna be this easy, I might have to give up brick 'n mortar hunting altogether.

I'm surprised how much I like the movie Ant Man. I really dig the detail in his helmet and the paint wash. Paint wash, you say?!?! Yep, it's not a Toy Biz exclusive feature, apparently.

I've got Ant Man and Wasp who I ordered off of Amazon thinking she'd be a tough find. In the last 3 days, I've seen six at retail. Oh well, at least I didn't overpay for her and she is really awesome (this is one of those figures I know my wife will give the thumbs up to).

I just got Bulldozer today. He's my first Wrecking Crew member and now I want to play catch up. Not planning on getting any more from this wave, I think I bought a decent amount. Looking for Ultron's legs and right arm, now....

My Ant-Man and Wasp figures arrived from Amazon today. Naturally, Wasp came with a busted wing so now I'm waiting for my replacement to ship.

On the up-side, the Ant-Man is a great figure. Wish we could've gotten a full-sized Movie Yellow Jacket to go with him though.

Broke down and ordered the Iron Monger build-a-figure from a Hong Kong seller. Kinda breaking a personal rule by ordering a preassembled BAF, especially when I only needed one more piece to complete my own, but I just cannot bring myself to pay aftermarket prices for a Comic Iron Patriot I don't even want/like.

Found the Ant-Man wave at Walmart this afternoon. I picked up the only Giant Man they had and one of the two Bulldozers. Honestly, I'm considering keeping the Ultron piece and selling off Bulldozer. I have no interest in the Wrecking Crew and I'm trying to beef up my action figure budget for a couple of the con exclusives.

. . . and mission accomplished. Ordered the Ant Man ML/MU set of Ebay this morning. And thanks to an especially hot selling streak, even had enough to snag the EE Guardians of the Galaxy set.

But if my girlfriend finds out how much I spent, this may be the last anybody hears from ol' Mako.

I just bought the gimmick-heavy Stomp-n-clobber Thing from the Toy Biz FF movie line. I wanted to complete the team in honor of the new movie that I don't plan on seeing!

This is actually a pretty fun figure. I chose this because I like the facial likeness best of all the movie Things. But the gimmick doesn't bother me that much either.

So apparently the Walgreens Exclusive Ant Man is only being carried at 3 stores anywhere near me. None are in my city (or the next one over), all are at least a twenty minute drive, and one is at a store in an area I wouldn't go to with a police escort.

Fortunately, my sister is a delivery driver for a pharmaceutical company and was nice enough to pick me one up while she was on her route.

Nice figure, but I prefer the Raging Thing. The likeness is still good, but the articulation isn't hampered by any "gimmicks." Plus, I love the bendy Reed accessory that came with it.

Cool FF4 line up YJB....Ioan Gruffold will always be Dr. Henry to me....sorry Reed Richards...the movies thus far have not been good to you...sooo tip of the hat to Mako for mentioning that the Dark Ant-Man is at Walgreen's already.....I almost forgot to hit up the Disney Stores for the Marvel Select Hulkbuster IronMan but called around & located a store that had 1 left....I thought these weren't out till August but one store was sold out already...it was an expensive day....I haven't even started picking up the Ultron Wave yet...man Marvel is killing us w/some awesome stuff....

I got the Toy Biz ML Black Widow yesterday. Yep, the one everyone thinks is ugly. I like her. I've been in the TB ML mood lately. In the past week I've got Silver Centurion Iron Man, Stealth Armor Iron Man variant (good deal on one with a broken head that's easily glueable), and Mr. Fantastic. I know Hasbro does a good job, particularly with recent releases, but I think I'll always have a soft spot for TB.

That old BW is still my go-to Widow. Same thing with Elektra. Some of ToyBiz' stuff was crap, but I really loved a lot of those figures.
