Easy Annihilus Mods & MVC Deadpool vr2

Easy Annihilus mods:

 

Give the boy wrist swivels! Cut right above the second fin on his gauntlet for the cleanest spin.

 

Clear Green wash under the ridges of the shoulderpads and on the spikes. Clear green the wing clawtips.

 

Repaint eyes silver and then paint them clear green for a metallic 'bug eye' look. Clear green wash to the inner mouth. Paint Control Rod with clear yellow. Trim the back of his head back a quarter inch so he's not looking down all the time.

 

Repaint main body with a light purple or testors 'Victorian Puple' which is almost violet. Do a dark Games Workshop Lich purple wash. Mix dark blue in with some purple and outline his collar. Then wash the 'gill' ridges on the side of his body and on his gauntlets.

 

Additional notes: After removing his head and examining it, you could quite easily trim the inside of the jaw shorter and reglue it, so Anni didn't have such a huge, gaping mouth. I heated the head and squished his jaw closed, it makes his head look more normal, but won't stay that way. You'd definatly need to do some cutting and gluing.

 

After all these mods, I can definatly say he's my favorite-looking ML figure to date!

 

 

 

 

 

 

Now comes my MoonKnight-head Deadpool on a Captain Marvel body instead of just using Moon Knight. I swapped a few pieces and you could really go quite a few different ways by mixing these two figures plus maybe a Punisher or a Jigsaw fig for hands and feet.

 

Pros:

You don't need primer or as many layers of red paint if you Acetone off the dark blue from Capt Marvel's waist, boots, etc.

 

Capt Marvel is a pegwarmer.

 

Wrist cuffs are already there, no need to sculpt them.

 

No boot/glove cuffs to look at, smooth costume.

 

 

Cons:

You still need a Moon Knight for the head.

 

Hands are crap and have to be replaced with Moon Knight's or someone else's.

 

No belt, gotta chop off Moon's belt or someone else's.

 

Slighty flatter/wider feet.

Cool mods, make me want to buy all the figs to make Annilus. Sure it does look cool.

Bullseye´s body is great for custom purposes, one of the best sculpts if not, the best.

I have never liked the design of Annihilus, he just looks like a mess of clashing colors to me, so it's kinda hard for me to get pumped at the you did on the figure Jin.....but for sure your version looks like a higher quality figure....amazing what a little paint and skill can do.

 

This Deadpool is just a sweeeeet as the last one.

Thanks everyone! Anni does look a little weird in color/style, but I think that's what makes him so unique, and thus my favorite-looking ML figure so far. It's easy to repaint your Anni too if you don't like the colors he comes with. The biggest thing for me was how repainting the eyes make him look.
