Anyone know how to remove the joint pins on DC SUPERHEROES 6 inch Figs? Or can I avoid this all together if I'm just going to dye the fig? I've done TF before with varying degrees of sucsess but this is the first time I've tried to tackle Action Figures.

If someone can point me to an online AF cutomizing resource similar to the one on this board, I'd really appreciate it.

what are you trying to do, specifically?

I dunno about trying to ''dye'' an action figure, but I find its not neccessary to take the figure apart in most cases when you're customizing. Of course i just use acrylic model paint...(don't buy any of that stuff you see at wal-mart...just go to a hobby store)

if you just need to take the pins out of a joint for whatever reason, boil some water in a microwave (set it for about three minutes), dip the figure for a few seconds in the hot water, and it'll get soft and rubbery. while its like that, use some needle nose pliers to lift the "lip" of each side of the part that's holding the pin.

easy peasy

I'm trying to make a custom out of a DC Superheroes Superman, the body is molded in blue but I'm not sure if I can dye it.

when I said "specifically" i meant what character are you trying to make?

I don't know what kind of success you'll have attempting to dye a figure. I'd just use acrylic paint if I were you, but if you're determined to use dye, good luck.

id love to see how it turns out!

did you have any success removing the pins?
