yeah someone found these guys in china i think over at fwooshnet. there was a thread with that info. i thought they were cancelled pieces? hopefully they are released, i want the new guys, screw flash & supes.

I think they need to stop releasing the major characters, they are just crappy filler now.

They may be "crappy filler" for collectors who already have these figures, but the reason the line is able to still be around, even thought the show is no longer on the air, is that kids and moms and dads will continue buying figures because they can get Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, Flash and Green Lantern. Think about what it would be like if you could only get obscure characters that you'd never really heard of, whether they are heroes or villains. But if you can get some characters you know AND some you don't know, you might be likely to find out about the ones you don't know. My guess is that the "filler" figures are what's keeping this line alive for Mattel.

Why are The Question, Captain Atom and Captain Marvel off limits? I know there was a reason Blue Beetle could not be in the show but I am not sure of why. Does it have something to do with all of those characters being bought by DC from Fawcett and Carlton Comics?

I think that is the main reason why they are off limits, but I'm sure someone else here can provide more info. I was a little disappointed to find out that Blue Beetle wasn't on the show.

 

Yet, the figures of Fire, Mr. Miracle, Lex, and Hawkman are looking promising. I'm happy and a little surprised to see these protos, so I'm hoping that the rest of the JLU roster is produced. Plus, some more villains wouldn't hurt.
