Loose or Sealed?

Recommended Posts

the age old question, loose, or sealed?? do you open the toys you buy? or do you put them through misery and keep them in that horrible prison called a box for eternity.

I open them to check them out, but keep them in the box so they stay in better condition. If it is a really good fig, I will get 2 one the open one to keep MISB. Your post reminded me of the Prospector from Toy Story 2...poor guy LOL

I'll admit, there is something impressive looking about a MISB collection...especially if it's neatly displayed.

However, I just couldn't imagine collecting being nearly as fun if I didn't open them. Yeah, I'm basically surrounded and buried under plastic here but it's all good.

I've got figures all over the place, shelves, speaker tops, entertainment center, and a small mountain on my desk to go along with 2 full totes sitting about 5 ft away from me. Then there's the shoeboxes full, and shipping boxes I have minicons stuffed in under my bed...it just doesn't end!

I open up all those guys, especially TFs. What's the sense in calling em Transformers, if you can't transform them, right? I might as well buy a model car, plane or toy vehicle. lol

I bought Crosscut and Road Rage 2-3 years ago, and didn't wanna open them, because they looked too mint. Then I was like...........Ahhhhhhhhh, F**K it. The urge to check them out, was just too much.

I think if your looking to sell em as a collector, then you don't open em, but what's the sense in collecting, if you can't enjoy em.

I find more fun in buying em loose( ones in great condition), and finding parts, boxes and booklets for em. Kinda like a scavenger hunt. Heheh. ^_^
