What's the budget for the upcoming TF movie?

I read it somewhere but can't remember. Can anybody tell me? and how does it compare to the conventional budget of most action films

I don't know the quoted approximate numbers, but I can tell you this: given the number of likely visual effect shots ( including all the CGI) and the location shoots, this movie's budget will safely START at around $200 million and likely will edge up towards $250 million.

Then you can tack on at least $100 Million for the advertising budget.

It'll make it all back though in the first two weeks of box-office, unless the film is a complete stinker.

It has been reported that will MOST of the money,at least 80% of it will be spent on explosion special effects.

Michael Bay tells his stories by blowing things up. I hear Megatron's true alt. form is an explosion...

No, actually I hear he'll transform into a cod mounted rocket for Starscream who spends the last hour of the movie chasing Prime around trying to fire Megs in cod rocket mode right up Prime's rear exhaust.

The subtitle was going to be "brokeback bots" but another movie came along not too long ago and made them change it. :P
