im not really a transformers fan, but that is awesome! I'd easily buy megatron if he looked like that. is it a repaint? you didnt add/remove anything? if so i may have to try it. but great job!

Ya know I allllllmost ripped out the light-pipe eyes and replaced them with red stuff. The back of his head unscrews and would probably be easy to do. I'm just partial to a green glow myself.

Is the forearm gun still on the bottom of his arm? I was wondering if it was possible to unscrew the arm and flip the hand over. Though I can't say if it would look right.

Tried a few times, the hand doesn't fit any other way cause it's a fold-in part. I looked at other options like magnetically attaching the gun on the side or what not, but I'd have to mess with the underside of the gun which will cause it not to fit securely in gun-mode. I'm sure there's a way, I just don't feel like messing with him any more. I'll snag a few more Megatrons and tinker, maybe use two left arms from the figures or something and make some kinda attachment. This one's an Ebayer tho, heh.

 

As for paint, it's all by hand on this baby, seriously. Thinned down paint with multiple coats for that smooth finish. I used Testors and some Games Workshop.

I don't wanna post direct ebay links, but they're all on my site. The wings are easily removed by tapping out the metal post that connects them to his buttocks, heh. Then you can just fit the wings on anytime you want.

I was waiting since they released the Classics toys for someone to do that to a Megatron. Now I need to buy a second Megs to do the same. He looks incredible. What paints did you use and HOW the heck did you get so accurate on the details?

Great repaint! I liked the wings to tell ya the truth, but he's quite classic without!

 

Also, not to go against the flow of the river, but the gun mode looks kinda bland. Some red in the cylinder would have been just right I think! Just to make it look like it's glowing with power of some sort.

 

As for the light up arm cannon: I'm kinda suprised that wasn't already light up as it is! The sorta working scope is cool, but the thing is just big and hollow and begging for a light up feature!
