Hasbro's Promo Clearing House

lone clone

Recommended Posts

I hear all the stories of Hasbros Clearing house and how so many people are receiving their goods smashed banged and beaten up. I've heard all the excuses from hasbro that its the postal system and how they handle it. I've only heard of this up until today. I received my earlybird figures that I mailed away for. And boy if this is the Postal service I have to tell you the S*%K, but since my sister received the same I know its not the postal service. I have received tons of stuff from Mattel over the past years since they run a bunch of promo's all the time. None have come in crushed smashed or damaged ever. Well the only exception to that is when they stacked a bunch of stuff I ordered into a box without packing material and they replaced that item.

Well I am sure to call them about this issue only because my sister received her george lucas pretty banged up. Way to go Hasbro with this out sourced promo fullfilment company it may be my last straw as far as getting promo's from them.

Sorry about the Double Post I guess my provider (DSL) Got slow and I clicked twice and it post twice. MY BAD

Well, I agree with you to a point... I understand that they dont really package their mail-a-ways that well.. but I think some of the fault falls on the post office and the mail carrier...

I've gotten a couple items from them over the last couple of years that were in pretty crappy condition, but some of them I got more than one of and there were some that were in perfect shape and others that weren't.. oh, and to be fair, I've gotten some MOTU exclusives that were mailed in their small outer white box, and weren't really in the greatest shape...now, I know they weren't directly from Mattel, but just thought I'd bring that up...

Overall if out postal service cared more about our stuff than they do, I think a lot of our stuff would come in better condition than they normally do... I was just telling my brother about a new-ish mail carrier that I have.. I ued to have her a couple years ago when I lived down the street, she was horrible.. she'd stand at the end of my hallway in my appartment building and throw my stuff, I actually watched her a couple times, one time trying to stuff an envelope in my little box..and when she couldn't.. she flung it to my door like a frisbee...

Then there's my regular guy, that EVERYTIME I get a package(trust me.. it's like, at least one everyother day), even if it's just a small little envelope, he walks it to my door(I have a box by the street).. AND.. he walks my regular mail to my door as well when I have a package, lol... real friendly(probably too friendly, lol.. he'll be the guy they find has kidie porn and teenage girls locked up in his basement, @loll@ ).. anyway.. now that I got that one girl again??? It's almost as if she can see if she can make a three pointer with my package and have it land and balance and stay on my front steps.. sigh..

Anyway.. like I said in the beginning, yeah, hasbro doesn't really pack them all too well, but then if they did, we'd probably end up paying a lot more for S&H..

To be fair with you yes i would tend to agree as far it maybe USPS and their carrier. On the other hand as stated originally i think it has to do more so with the company that handles their promotions. Just like any other company if the company that is contracted to prepare and ship out a product has a bad quality control staff than that is what is going to shipped out. I have from the beginning of the earlybird figure set heard so many stories about crushed box not just crushed, but rather smashed up. I've gotten my earlybird and the boxes were smashed and one had a hole that looked like it went straight through. When i opened this one I expected to see a pierce figure, but the figure was okay and the hole was just on the box opposite each other. This tells me someone at the shipping end had problems.

Now as far as your Moss man, I had the same issue and called Mattel and they asked me to send the figure back and they would send me a new one. Which is exactly how the situation was handled. As for Hasbro, I get the same old sorry, but that is out of our control. No beef on hasbro, just their selection of shippers.

Thanks for the read...

I have a mail lady like that JoeRhyno. If I have a package she'll honk her horn until I come out to get it. The other day I guess I didn't hear her honking, so I hear this loud bang. The B@#$^ threw my package at my glass door. Funny thing is I got up form my chair and said " i would have killed her if she broke something. So my gf who was standing next to me goes "yea those glass doors are expensive. My response. Screw the door She better not have broken my super Skull. Then she just stared at me and said I was a moron.

My Early Bird set was okay when I got it last week.Could also be whoever packs the stuff at Hasbro. I'm sure they have employees who try to be careful when they pack the stuff and then they have the ****heads who couldn't give a **** what happens to your stuff.

There must be a lot of variation in the quality of service by USPS through different regions. A single 501 I recently ordered also arrived in good shape. In the past Xevoz orders through HTS all arrived in as good shape as BBTS orders used to be. Since most of them were with free shipping offers, don't have much to complain about.

I have had no problems with Hasbro. Its the stupid mail people. Dude, if she through the stuff at your door, you should have gotten on the phone and told them that she almost broke you private property. The Post Office is liable if they do that s^&8. Maybe it'll teach em to care a bit more.
