Walmart vs Super Walmart

Do you have for luck at your regular Walmart or your Super Walmart.

 

For me its Super Walmart. I dont know why this would be but its the case.

Sometimes I have better luck at the smaller walmarts. But they dont stock as much so most of the time I pass up a smaller walmart for a superwalmart, but I think the best place to go is a super target.

Close by me is only a SWM, but sometimes I travel to a lil ole raglar WM. They usually have less stock. That's good when new stuff comes out. I can almost always get the newer small item toys at a regular WM first.

Funny you should post this I usually hit my Walmart up the street which is a Super Walmart

There aren't any Super Walmarts in my area. They want to build one, but there are many opposed to them building it. I find stuff gets to TR, NJ a LOT slower than many other places.

Here in Houston, we don't have anymore regular Wal-marts, unless you drive to some small town taht has one. They are all Super Wal-Marts. When I go back home and go to the regular Wal-Mart. They never have anything that I haven't been able to get at Super Wal-mart, target, or TRU.

How about the Super Duper Crazy Awesome Spectacular Wal-Marts? Do you guys have one of those?! No? Neither do I! There is no such thing as a super Wal-Mart. Bigger Wal-Marts are the correct term. Super and Wal-Mart don't deserve to be put in the same sentence with eachother. They have put smaller mom and pop operations out of business that sold quality products, and they never have anything I want anyway.

 

Want high end electronics, go to a Best Buy type store. Want groceries, like the good groceries, not junkfood, go to a grocer... want clothes? Who buys their clothes from Wal-Mart anyway. Eh, besides the fact I got a belt there. Hey, accessories like socks and belts are okay. Maybe gitch, but never actual shirts and pants.

 

Want high end collectibles? Go shop at your local collector dealers or online like BBTS.

 

You get my point. Plus Wal-Mart is so busy and crowded.

The correct term is actually "Supercenters". We won't speak of the abomination that are "Hyper-Marts".

Here we go. Now I gotta defend the greatest store on the planet. Sure some mom and pop stores go under but walmart does offer them and the rest of the podunk town a slew of jobs. Sorry Mom and Pop but the rest of 200 towns folk gotta eat too. BTW, its not Walmart putting them under its their own friends, family, neighbors, and community that stopped shopping at M&P .

 

Secondly, back off walmart food. They carry the exact same food as a grocery store. The Bushs Baked Beans dont tase any better and arent any better for you if you buy them at Walmart or Food Loin.

 

High end electronics????? The same Ipod thats at Walmart is at Best Buy. The only two spots Walmart lacked in was furnature and clothing. Both of which have gotten better in the past year.

In all honesty, regardless of the name "super" both versions of the store seem to be about equal. One or two Super Wal-marts in my area dont seem to carry Alternators anymore :/

Good argument though Pat, perhaps your Wal-Marts carry better stuff down there than what they do here. Granted even the ones up here are getting better.

Around here, they are switching all the regular wally's to super ones. Matter of fact the wally worlds here are ALL super ones, all 10 of'em!!

I tend to have better luck at the regular Walmart. There are like 6 supers and a regular here. The regular one doesn't see much traffic.

Pat you have a good point that I noticed while I was still out there. Regular WM's are good for a couple of things. They put out exclusives for black Friday early and don't realize it. Sometimes the prices aren't in the computer either so you have to make the etical decision on what to tell the cashier. The Super Centers where always the hot spots though. Every now and then the regular WM would get new stuff first, but not very often.
