It looks more like the Joker than Heath Ledger ever could be. Ledger will be a terrible Joker, he'll probably be like Ceasar Romero's Joker.

specifically, at least so ive come to understand from a couple of my old movie loving nerd buddies, it's a photoshop of Conrad Veidt, the actor the joker was based on way back in the day, as he appeared in a movie called "the man who laughs"

Actually that pic of Heath shows abit of Koker promise I think. As long as we move away from the Romero Joker, and to some extent, the Nicholson Joker.

Dude you're high... Ledger is gonna ROCK the HOUSE as the Joker. The whole reason he was cast was because he comes to the role with absolutley no preconceptions of what HIS joker will be like. I mean if Hugo Weaving, or Crispin Glover got the role... we'd know what we'd be in for. But with Ledger in the role... we're in for a surprise... and I think it will be a pleasant one. This is a guy whol loves to take on challenging roles. I think he's really gonna push himself to give us a joker that terrifies us.

 

Ledger is a good actor. He hasn't had the film that really showcases him yet and that appeals the masses. (Though he was the ONLY saving grace in Brothers Grimm... and he earned an Oscar nomination for Brokeback for a reason)

 

All I say is to give him a chance. I really think The Dark Knight film is going to make Batman Begins look like a kiddie film.

We'll see how he does but I still think Ledger as choice for the Joker is #WTF# Well, there is a high point to all of this. At least they didn't cast Dicrapio in this film. It would have made the Dark Knight film totally unwatchable for me.
