FFC series 2 update

So I called my local TRU & the manager was unbelievably helpful with looking up this line via the SKN I gave her... check Fwoosh sightings forum for that SKN.

Unfortunately, she had bad, bad news. She said that the "Classics series 2" line (as she called it from the website) was marked "Discontinued" & that would affect ALL TRU stores, not just Arkansas locations.

People are reporting that their Kangs are coming in the mail via TRU.com, but I think this means TRU just got a few in along with the independent retailers & now have discontinued the line completely...

Glad I ordered from Amok Time, Inc.

well this sucks, but not unexpected. another awesome line killed because they are too stupid to realise we don't need more reeds, torchs and things. not to mention the awesome animated line killed too. and i'm sure they'll still stick us with another god awful set of movie figures when FF 2 rolls around even though all the stores in the world are FILLED with the first crappy series of movie figures....god i hate movie figures :(

Am I the only one who would like that Human Torch figure from series two?

And I liked the movie toys, there were good looking to me, I saw them at stores, never picked them up because I never had a thought in my mind back then of starting a toy collection.

Gosh

Here's hoping Hasbro fixes this mess and rereleases Kang and Dragon Man somewhere down the line.

Yeah, here's hoping.

My concern about re-releases under Hasbro is that a lot of these figures don't mean safety SOP's (Standard Operating Procedures), so if these characters are ever released again, they will be different molds.

Just my two cents, hopefully I'm proven wrong.

Yep, it definitely sucks...I really wanted that Kang and Dragon Man. Hey Hasbro, please re-release these bad boys again, same for the Super Skrull! :D Yeah, they aren't reading this, but what the hell.

Grrrrrr I want that Sue!! I am glad I have Kang, but I am not happy with just him.

Draven

You don't want to have one and then have the entire gap in you're collection with all the rest dude, give kang to me and let me save you the pain!!

...

I hope hasbro does... & whats with the safety bs here?.. I see no difference in what we are getting so far and the regular ml... but then I am no expert on this type of thing, I only buy and play with them :D What other ML from TB would hasbro not be able to put out?.. & why?..

I feared this would happen. Thats why Im so glad I ordered a set of 5, Kang, Dragon Man, Thing, Torch, and Invisible Woman (which one I dont know yet), from Legends Action Figures. It only cost me $84.95 Canadian shipping included. (not sure what that is exactly in US dollars but I think its even less in USD)

well you guys are all lucky we wont even see them over here in Australia, that said I will thanks to eBay but my wallet hates me as the cost me 90 for a set and that’s US but as far as in concerned its a bargain cause like I said we'll never see them here..

In a perfect world we'd get a boxset next year with Kang, Dragon Man, Super Skrull, and a nice new Doom or other FF villian. It would be a cheap box set for Hasbro since they'd only need to sculpt one new figure.

Maybe we can at least hope that these figures will see the light of day again when FF2 comes out in 2008.
